    F, please.

(Everybody else already has it, right?)
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

How many breeds and kinds of pets there are
I ne-er knew until we started Pet of the Day!
Who knew a -oloit-cuintli e-isted, near or far
Or a Sphyn- would be not a statue, but a real li-e Cat of the Day?

Who knew how many rescues we'd meet throu-h this site
Or how many rescuers who care day and ni-ht?

I didn't know about the Selkirk Re- with its curly fur
Didn't know a prairie do- could be a pet, that's for sure!

    A Portu-uese Poden-o Medio, a de-u or duprasi
An Alaskan Klee Kai, a Scottish Fold so sweet and sassy

These are not -ust creatures from a fairy tale or book
They're real li-e pets that we learn about and are hooked!

And there are the uni-ue breeds, the one of a kind shelter finds,
Whose ancestries are a pu--le, but they're -ems of e-ery kind.

But of all the purebreeds and mi-es, one thin- I always knew
Is that their people lo-e and cherish them, and -uess what?

    We do, too!

    Cheshirekatt got it! It was:

How many breeds and kinds of pets there are
I never knew until we started Pet of the Day!
Who knew a Xoloitzcuintli existed, near or far
Or a Sphynx would be not a statue, but a real live Cat of the Day?

Who knew how many rescues we'd meet through this site
Or how many rescuers who care day and night?

I didn't know about the Selkirk Rex with its curly fur
Didn't know a prairie dog could be a pet, that's for sure!

A Portuguese Podengo Medio, a Degu or Duprasi
An Alaskan Klee Kai, a Scottish Fold so sweet and sassy

These are not just creatures from a fairy tale or book
They're real live pets that we learn about and are hooked!

And there are the unique "breeds," the one of a kind shelter finds,
Whose ancestries are a puzzle, but they're gems of every kind.

But of all the purebreeds and mixes, one thing I always knew
Is that their people love and cherish them, and guess what?

    We do, too!

Do you want to host the next puzzle, or pass to bluekat, the next highest point-getter (PayItForward had a wrong guess)?
