    All the cats at my parents house that I grew up with were boys. I too have found they were more friendly.

    I love Zam, but she's not nearly as cuddly as the boys.

    re males vs females - it's hard to say which I prefer. I was thinking about this last night. I have always had females at my parents, rarely boys - our females were the bosses of the neighborhood and they were like a dinasty of bossy kitties.
    I have had males too. They can be sweet too.
    Still, I think, although females are bossy, they can sense you better than the boys.

    I have to go with females at the moment because after my two boys lexie is so sweet natured and loving she is a doll, so females it is
