I hope I will get some guesses now....

Better Wat-h What You Pray For!

    The -at From God!

A true story about a pastor and his e-perien-e.

He had a kitten that -limbed up a tree in his ba-kyard and then was afraid to -ome down. The

pastor -oa-ed, offered warm milk, et-. The kitty would not -ome down. The tree was not

sturdy enough to -limb, so the pastor de-ided that if he tied a rope to his -ar and to the

tree and dro-e away so that the tree bent down, he -ould then rea-h up and get the kitten.

He did all this, -he-king his progress in the -ar fre-uently, then figured if he went -ust a

little bit further, the tree would be bent suffi-iently for him to rea-h the kitten. But as

he mo-ed a little further forward....the rope broke. The tree went "bong!" and the kitten

instantly sailed through the air out of sight. The pastor felt terrible. He walked all o-er

the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a stray

kitten. So he prayed, "Lord, I -ust -ommit this kitten to your keeping," and went on about

    his business.

A few days later he was at the gro-ery store, and met one of his -hur-h members. He happened

to look into her shopping -art and was ama-ed to see -at food. Now this woman was a -at

hater and e-eryone knew it, so he asked her, "Why are you buying -at food when you hate -ats

so mu-h?" She replied, "You won't belie-e this," and told him how her little girl had been

begging her for a -at, but she kept refusing. Then a few days before, the -hild had begged

again, so the mom finally told her little girl, "Well, if God gi-es you a -at, I'll let you

keep it." She told the pastor, "I wat-hed my -hild go out in the yard, get on her knees, and

ask God for a -at. And really, pastor, you won't belie-e this, but I saw it with my own

eyes. A kitten suddenly -ame flying out of the blue sky, with its paws spread out, and

landed right in front of her."

He did all this, checking his progress in the car fre-uently, then figured if he went -ust a

little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as

he mo-ed a little further forward....the rope broke. The tree went "bong!" and the kitten

the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a stray

kitten. So he prayed, "Lord, I -ust commit this kitten to your keeping," and went on about

    his business.

A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met one of his church members. He happened

to look into her shopping cart and was ama-ed to see cat food. Now this woman was a cat
