I don't hate any breed - what I hate is that certain people seem to be attracted to certain breeds and give them a bad reputation. For example: mean people often get Rottweilers or GSDs and train them to be mean. So now very many people are scared of Rotties and GSDs. I would LOVE to have one of these breeds, especially a GSD, but I probably won't because many of the neighors would be upset about it.
I LOVE GSDs!! I want one so badly! But I think I'll get a mix which doesn't look too GSD-ish so the neighbors won't get nervous. Or maybe I could somehow disguise the GSD......hehehe
Of the dogs I won't get: anything bigger than a GSD or smaller than a corgie. Bigger and smaller dogs are great, but the bigger ones leave bigger piles and my fence won't hold the smaller ones!
Don't try to hide it. I say show it to the fullest and show the morons what the breed CAN be if you treat it properly.

Amen! LOL When one of my clients asked if my neighbors didn't like me because of my dogs, I was like, "Why? Because I have dogs in my yard?" They're the ones that have the 14 year old unaltered male lab with cancer that they leave in the yard all day and he barks. Some people.Originally posted by Kfamr

I don't hate any breed. There are quite a few that I don't see myself ever getting, but that doesn't mean I hate them.
Cocker Spaniels--I've met a few really sweet cockers, but a lot more who were rather nippy. I don't like the way their ears are always smelly and getting infections either (I know, that doesn't happen with *every* cocker....)
Any breed with a longer, thick coat like a rough collie....or one that matts easily....nothing against the personality of the dog, I just don't want the grooming requirements lol.
And any dog that has to be shaved regularly like a poodle/schnauzer. They are great dogs (I have one of each hehe) but after working at a Grooming Salon, I think I'll tend to stay away from dogs that need to be groomed so much. I like Nebo's coat...it may shed, but it doesn't matt, and certainly does not need to be shaved! hehe
Most dogs with smushed-in (or whatever the technical term is) don't appeal to me, though I find pugs adorable. Not a big fan of shih-tzus.
Don't see myself getting a beagle.......I think they are *adorable* and very sweet dogs...but I have a couple of neighbors with them, and I just don't like how much (and how loud) they bark lol.
I tend to like medium-large dogs over small ones, though they all cute...just what I'd rather have. Of course, I'm a wolf freak, and large furry wolf-like dogs are what I like the best!!![]()
Chows are actually one of my favorite breeds! I think they are SO cute! I'm practically scared of most dogs over 20 poundsbut that doesn't mean I dislike them.
My "least" favorite breed would have to be great danes. I think they are so big they look like you could ride them. I saw one at the beach the other day and freaked out so bad that I almost fell.No offense to dane lovers. They just scare me.
They are HUGE!
Rottweilers also scare me and I don't like breeds that have so thin fur it looks like they have no fur.
I think huskies are beautiful, and I love cocker spaniels and maltese because they are SOOOOOO cute! I think golden retrievers are so super cute as well. They've got to be my favorite "big" dog.

Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much
Remembering all the Rainbow Bridge Pets
Like most everybody else, there's no breeds that I hate or
dislike. But I don't consider myself that great of a dog trainer,
so I feel wary of getting any breed that's known for overly
protective or aggressive behavior. I don't want to have any
fear of my dog attacking anybody. I'm very secure in the love
I have with my dogs, so I want them to love and be gregariously
friendly to everybody they meet.
I really think that if a real situation arose where I was in danger,
they'd sense my fear and realize the realness of the situation
and protect me. Actually they'd probably be a better judge of
it, then a breed that's naturally suspicious of everybody.

I don't think there is any breed I hate, but I will say there are a lot of breeds I don't know a lot about. Sometimes peoples fear of a breed comes from ignorance about that breed.
If I meet someone with a dog I don't know anything about, I ask. If they are a true breed-specific dog lover, you almost get more information than you want but that's the nature of the dog lover.
I have a mixed shepard & ?; a standard dachshund and a yorkie. They don't get much different than that in attitude, temperament and care; but I love each one.
Well, I'd first start with beagles, They "ARE" Cute, But their not very Bright, I say this because i've owned 2 Before and one of which dragged my 14 yearold brother a hole block and his legs got all bloody.(duscusting....)
And dachunds, Not anything against their Inteligence or anything, But their not very good looking dogs.
And rottweilers.....

I can't answer this question, because I have no breed that I dislike, including those that aren't any particular breed at all!! I am a DOG LOVER and proud of it!!!
If your question were phrased a bit differently, and you asked which breed I would be most likely "not" to get, then I might be able to answer, but I have to say, if there is an opening in my house, I'd take any dog that needed me more than I needed it! Small, large, middlesized, I love them all!!!![]()
Logan,
Ditto that!!!
As I said earlier on in the forum .......
LEAST favourite breed ?? .................. dunno, never met a dog I didn't like![]()

I don't hate any breed, in fact, I find it insulting to list all these breeds people "hate". Hate is a very strong word, and feelings are bound to be hurt when you list off the breeds that you hate. We all have our favorites, and we all have different tastes. I would never list a breed that I didn't like, that's not a nice thing to do.
I'll agree with that!! Huney is an awesome dog....very sweet and loving!!!Originally posted by anna_66

you all think you are so righteous. good god.
I'm gonna repost what I put in my original post:
Have you ever been chased for more than a mile by a dog nearly double your size, mangy lookin (it's fur was completly dreaded, somebody really did not like this poor dog), foaming at the mouth, snapping at you heals... coming so close that as you ran your heels where hitting the bottom of the dogs jaws... for a child walking alone it's rather intimidating. But, that's only because I was chased by one walking to school when I was like 7. It was scary. And that memory has always stayed with me... who knows, maybe someday I'll love the breed.
Yeah, I'm gonna hate the breed. The memory has brought me frightful nightmares over numerous years. Am memory, one of my earliest, that I just can get rid of.
While my husband and I were at a dog show recently, for the first time since this incident I actually got enough courage to go up to the chows who were on their way back to the bench and petted one. He was a sweetheart, but, I still trembled in fear. And seeing the picture above has actually made me start shaking, yeah he's cute in a picture, but, for me in person, it's a different story.
So get over yourselves. Before you start thinking your better than everybody else, maybe you should ask why they say something.
"Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have."
