haha Maybe it's all that fur It cushions them on their way there and makes them stop. Maybe I'll kick him a few times to motivate him. (only kidding of course )

I'll be holding off with the "speak" one because I want him to master his roll over and balancing. (I make him balance treats on his head. I moved it down to the middle of his snout and hopefully will get it on his muzzle soon). I have started to teach him roll over. We have been working on it but he won't make it the full way across. He'll stop and then just be trying. He doesn't know his butt thas to come with him lol

Maggie gives hugs, dances, louder softer ( when I tell her to speak I say louder she gets louder vice versa), speak, cry, howl, rollover, hand shake, "hello", come. stay, sit, laydown, and go play.

I know a new trick that you could teach your dog....... You could teach him how to site up.. Thats what I taught my dog.. It's really easy your dog knows high five right... So you just make him high five until you get him to the site up pusition and then say site up... Well you have to do it a few times to make them get it but it is really fun to do after. Then practice doing it all over your house so he knows that he has to do it every were you want him to do it.. Well it worked for my chacolate lab... Tell me if it works out for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I don't get it. Do you mean to teach Mickey how to sit up from a lie down. ?

I tried to teach "roll over" but then I realized I should have taught him "play dead" first, since play dead is already half way to "roll over".

I think another really good trick to teach him is "side" and "other side". I mean - lay down on one side and then switch sides. It would be so helpful for grooming!

    Thanks for the siggy, Lexi_Lover!

So true! thanks. I'll work on "play dead" when I get the chance and then eventually the "side" one. Thanks

Hm? For me, I took 'sitting up' as sit pretty? But a high five is when they jump up and put their paw in your hand..atleast mine does that..so how could they go from a high five to a sit pretty? lol Mine sit pretty and give me a five at the same time, is that what you mean?

I'm a bum. None of my dogs know any commands except sit, down, come, get your ball, go potty, and NO KITTIES! It's to hard for me to teach them cause I can't have one on one time with the big dogs. They literally break fences/glass/walls if I seperate them. Everything I do, I have had to do with them together, and they fight for attention.
