Are we trying to influence/persuade FrostFrog's next trip? lol
Let me get my 2cents in, as I have yet to meet a Pet Talker!

NM might not have nude beaches (heck, there aren't ANY beaches) but I do access to GREAT Mexican food (including Taco Bell). In addition, I have 4 fur-girls who are 'neked' and will roll onto their backs at the slightest chance of a belly rub (3 of the gals will even purr for ya)! Now they may not have the slenderest of figures, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

Purr-haps I should introduce you to the 3 purring 'neked' ladies before setting them up on a blind date...

Clarice, the former 'backyard bouncer' whom even post-spay, would call the toms in only to beat them up. For the first 5 years of her life she refused to come indoors. The turning point: an unknown illness which almost took her life. Now 12 and slightly arthritic, she refuses to set paws outdoors. Her days are spent sleepin' in the sunshine and seeking out the next person to 'purr' her (ie scratch her ears and chin while she runs her motorbox).

Tinker (aka Mary-Ann , don't ask... had to do w/ a Giligan's Island re-run lol) is Clarice's kitten and our gentle giant. Though 10 yrs old, she acts 3. Sunshine and treat-time is what this 13lb gal lives for! At cuddletime/bedtime, don't you dare take her to the bed --- she likes for it to be her idea, thank you. She might like to put on the air of a snotty-puss--but it's exactly that, AIR -- they just don't come much sweeter than Tinker!

    Sunshiney, Every-Day's-a-Good-Day, Optimistic K'Cee!
This lil' gray/white pound-purry joined our household 2wks and 3days ago. Frisky, fun, and confident as only a 4mnth old kitten can be, K'Cee is a laugh-a-minute! (Exactly what this household needed after the loss of Miz Sophie Bunnie. ) Regardless of her spunk and cat-itude, K'Cee is hands down *THE* most laid back kitten I've ever seen. Dogs, car rides, medicine time (she's anemic)... she takes it all in dignified, velvety-paw strides.

(The fur/fin-family also includes a Sara the 3yr old boxer-dawg, 2 fishie tanks, and Oreo the elderly gerbil. You (and anyone else traveling this way) are welcome at anytime!)

I love it!! But where did I get the idea that Sophie the bunny was your one and only?? Argghhh!! Quick, edit that Christmas Card before you mail it, Ko!!! BTW, flying back from VA this past Saturday, I was seated next to a delightful lady from Charlotte, NC on the leg of the trip from Dallas to San Diego. She would peek over me out the window as we commented on the various types of terrain below. It was over New Mexico that I mentioned I wished I knew where Hobbs NM was, and why. After a fun discussion of the glorious New Mexico land, PetTalk and why computers are actually not evil ( ), we decided we were going to go into business creating topo-references for Airline travellers, since the country definitely looks very interesting from 5 miles high!!! So if some of you felt your ears tingling this past Saturday morning, it was just me flying over, thinking about you and wishing I could peek in.
Wow, Santa has a pretty cool job, after all!!!

Hey, zippy-kat! The same event that took me to San Diego takes place next year in Albuquerque. That doesn't necessarily mean that I will be there, but then I just might. I don't know how far away Hobbs is from Albuquerque, but I always enjoy a good drive.

Your ladies sound like they might make me blush a bit, but I would brave it.

    Hi!

    Hi Kohala,

I'm happy that you're back safe and sound. Give headbonkers to Grasshopper for me . How could anyone think that you would take
FrostFrog to Blacks Beach. Hang in there and let Grasshopper give you lots of love. Our 3 cats,Tigger,Yuri and Baby Baxter(He is not a baby anymore
but is the youngest. He got very upset when we just called him Baxter) all send purrs and headbonkers to you and Grasshopper.

The other girls have always been here (Hobbs--my parents' house) but I've been away at college (NM State Univ.-- Las Cruces). I had to leave the furbies behind (but in good hands and familiar surroundings) as I was either a victim of dormlife or a NO PET apartment. One day, I decided to hell with the no pets (apartment) rule. I wanted a cat but my roommate (and HS best friend) was severly allergic. Enter Miz Sophie Bunnie.

Shortly after graduation, I moved back home and Soph ruled the roost--chasin' Sara, bullying the cats, beggin' for treats.

Sadly (and briefly... can't talk about it w/out bawling ), I lost Sophie Bun last month (the post is in pet general).

The drive usually averages about 5-6 hrs.

Albq. hosts the Nt'l Arabian Horse Show October/November-ish of 2003. If the event permits, I highly recommend you attend! (Try to see the Native Costume competition--absolutely breath taking!)

FYI: Winking at the grooms (in attempt to see/pet offspring of *Bask, Huckleberry Bey, and *Bint*Badaria) will not get you special privileges. Everyone (as I later found out) has access to the stalls/barns.
