Richard you're great. I like especially the last one. I will try some this weekend. I feel I just cannot do it in between... (especially not in a foreign language)

    Pounce! Missed again, drat!

Edwina is just enjoying the weekend comics. She could not possibly be disturbing your reading . She knows the best part of the newspaper. She has that "why are you disturbing my reading" look on her face.

    can life be better?

    i would rather clean
    10 litterboxes than to
    deal with mean people

    my cat is pure white
which makes it easy to tell
    when he gets dirty
OMG! These were great and so true!! I especially liked the 2nd one.

Hmmm...I'll have to see if I can come up with some haikus to add to this thread, but I'm better at the limericks... LOL

    you all can do it!

just remember 5-7-5 (syllables per line), be abstract and
    have fun...

    my scientist cat
    knows that a falling object
    gets me out of bed

    hey, that looks real good
my wet nose goes in your plate
    ugh, you eat that stuff?

    oh my, cat haiku!
    you are far more talented
    fixing me dinner

You go Richard! These are great! I bet we could take all the heartwarming stories and all of the poetry and make a Best of Pet Talk stories and poems book. I think it would be a good seller for all those pet-loving people out there!

Have you ever submitted anything to Pet Warmers Richard?

For Gabe, in the thread about his first Vermont snow:

    What is that cold stuff?
    Yes, I've luxurious fur
    But I'm not stupid!

    What evil lurks there?
Frozen, white, wet on my paws ...
    Quick! Shut the porch door!

    Oh you nasty folk
    Laughing at feline distress ...
    I shed on you all.

    I can not help it.
These things just fall out of me.
    Please just clean the box.

    A kitty is so "new".
I have been around for years.
    You WILL love me more.

    Yes, I saw it there.
Yes, I see it on the floor.
    How? I just don't know.

    Why do you sleep while
    I’m purring gently in your
    Ear: I need some food.

    White powder looks soft.
Will my paws walk in velvet?
    Oh it’s cold and wet!

    She sharpens the big knife.
They’ll have raw meat for dinner
    Run to the kitchen!

    Do not get up now.
Look I am just pushing my
    head in your armpits.
