This one sounded good to go with the Sherbert:

    Gingered Lemon-Lime Fizz Recipe
    Ingredients:
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1/4 cup lime juice
    2 cups cold water
    4 teaspoons honey
    2 cups ginger ale
    4 thin lime slices (optional)

    Directions:

In a 2-quart pitcher, combine the lemon juice, lime juice, water, and honey and set aside.

Fill 4 12-ounce glasses with ice cubes, divide the lemon-lime juice mixture among them, then top with the ginger ale. Stir briskly and put a lime slice, if you like, in each drink.

I'll have one with some lime sherbert, please!

    Blue,
Oh, I'll make you a martini and say...

    Bacon and tomato jam.

    .5 lbs smoked bacon.
2 lbs. very ripe chopped and cored tomatoes
    1 med onion, chopped
    I cup sugar,
    2.5 tbls cider vinegar,
    1.5 tsp salt
    .25 tsp pepper.

cook bacon til crispy and blot as much fat as possible.

Combing maters, onion, sugar and vinegar into large pot.
Bring to boil, stirring often, reduce heat to med, crumble bacon into mixture,
Simmer until thick-about 1 hour, season as needed.

Put into jars when cool, stays in fridge for 3-4 days, frozen-up to two months.

The recipe was taken from the Dining section of the LA Daily News today!

    DONE!

Hummm... this sounds like it would make a B-L-T sandwich even better!

No banana daiquiri for me ... could I please have iced tea?

Richard, I'll have a banana daiquiri please. I'm about to put together the ingredients for some B&J Oreo Mint ice cream. I just have to make sure the dasher is clean first.
RIP Lady, Thursday's won't be the same without you to cuddle with by the fire

The dasher is the part of the ice cream maker that mixes the ice cream inside the maker. It sort of looks like a steamboat paddel with only two paddles. It helps to put air into the ice cream so it's nice and fluffy. The Ben & Jerry's recipe only makes a generous quart but I always double it so we get at least a half gallon out of it. So yes I have enough to share.

LOL, I always called it 'the paddle'!

And the rule for Homemade is,
You don't turn, you don't eat.

With the new fangled makers there is no line to help out...

    DONE!
