Hey, did you save me some pumpkin bread?

Glad that she doing okay - whew!!! - don't they just scare the devil out of you sometimes???

I'm being tortured by the smell of pumpkin bread. I used a new recipe and it said for it to taste even better - let it sit for 24 hours. Since I want to get the maxium goodness out of it - I'm restraining myself. My DIL is having a fit since I won't cut it till morning. So come on - you've got time to get here for pumpkin bread and coffee!!

I'll be right there. Until then, tell DIL to keep her mitts off my pumpkin bread!

Y'know, this reminds me....when my Peeka was so sick and we were waiting til her vet appt., I said to Boo "Why don't you cuddle up w/your sis? She needs some comforting". He went right over to her, laid down and put his "arm" around her. They were brother and sister and when she went to the Bridge, he walked around the house for days calling for her. If anything would happen to Boo, I know that's how Pidge would be affected. Animals have such emotion.

She's feeling kinda punk. So I covered her w/my blankie and she's all nice and warm and cozy. I think I may see if she'll sleep in my room tonight. I'm afraid she might miss Boo Bear, though.

Aww, she looks so cozy! Give a her a cuddle for me, okay? I can only do so by proxy, because of my allergies, so distance doesn't matter. And she just looks so snuggly and soft!

I hope whatever is going on with her heals up quickly. I'll keep you in my thoughts for a quick recovery.

BTW what pain meds did they give you for her? When Dusty needed pain meds they tried Meticam but when that stopped working she was switched to Tramadol.

I didn't get pain meds for her. One of the other vets was supposed to call me today and didn't. This is why I insist on Dr. Lee. He doesn't forget things. I'll call them tomorrow and ask. They'll UPS them to me in one day.
    Blessings,

Ah ok, guess I misread then. I hope whatever they send you works well and your kitty feels better soon.

After my RB Puddy had her kidney removed, Dr. Lee put her on Torbutrol but I imagine that's probably too strong for spondylosis. I'm just guessing, though. I don't know. When I talk to the vet tomorrow, I'll ask if I can give her some that I still have left over. I don't want to take any chances w/anything right now, especially since she's feeling so punk. She's gone this long w/out pain meds; another couple of days won't hurt her and she isn't acting as though she's hurting.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Good thing you brought her in! Sounds like the infection may not have gone away on it's own. I hope the combo of meds help to make her well soon and that she stops sniffling.
Prayers going out that the xrays next month prove that it is only calcification going on and nothing more serious. You've had a hard enough time already. Only good news should be coming your way for quite some time! At least that's how it should be!!

Pidge is having a rough time of it. I took her upstairs w/me and she hopped up into bed right away so I thought maybe she'd snuggle in but she couldn't lie still. She kept moving from spot to spot on the bed, finally jumped down and went downstairs into the kitchen and laid in front of the fridge. I had moved a litterbox and a fountain and food upstairs but there's nothing on the main floor so I figured she might do better downstairs w/Boo Bear. She went into a litterbox and peed a little, then went into another litterbox and let out a weird meow. Then she came out and vomited. I think the Cyproheptadine is upsetting her stomach. I seem to recall that happening when she was on it for the paint allergy, too. I think Dr. Lee wants to increase her appetite a little, which the Cyproheptadine does, because she's lost 1 3/4 lbs. since May. She hasn't eaten since she vomited earlier this evening. I sure hope she's going to be ok. I have a bad feeling. I hope that feeling is just a layover from the Puddy episode.
    Blessings,
    Mary

My goodness -- it doesn't seem fair that you're having to go through all this worry and anxiety so soon after sweet Puddy's passing. (I guess "fair" has nothing to do with it, though, does it?)

We'll all be praying for sweet Pidgelet (what a beautiful little girl she is!) and hoping that she's feeling much better very soon.

Snuggles to Pidge, and ((((HUGS)))) to you!

    Much love,
    Diana
There aren't too many bad spots that can't be made at least a little better by either a nap, a cat, or both.

I spoke w/another vet at the clinic this morning. He's going to call a different antihistamine in for Pidge at my pharmacy. She can't seem to keep the Cyproheptadine down so he feels it isn't doing her any good. She's still so congested. I checked on her during the night and she moved around a lot but she preferred to stay in the basement w/the Fur Posse so I didn't want to stress her by insisting that she sleep w/me. I just want her to feel better. As for pain meds, he deferred to Dr. Lee and feels it might be best to talk to him on Monday. I really don't think she's in any serious pain so that can wait but the vomiting relief can't.
    Blessings,
    Mary
