Regina called this evening, Eddie is having more surgery Friday, 3 fingers on his left hand and his right wirst and shoulder... ALL at one time so he will be all but helpless afterwards. She said they will go to Norfolk and spend the night Thursday since he is due in surgery about 5am. She is going to call me afterwards.

I hope his surgery goes well. He'll be in my prayers.

Oh, boy. Left and right sides, you're right about him being helpless. On the other hand, though (pun NOT intended), he would not have to go through the anesthesia a second time. Or go through rehab for his left, and then his right, which might take a lot longer than rehabbing both at the same time. I'll pray that all will go well.

    Update On Surgery

Eddie had his surgery today, the fingers on the left hand, wrist on the right hand and both shoulders. They decided to go on and do both while they had him there. She said the the only problem they had was finding some useable skin on him for grafts but they managed. Quit a few of the doctors who helped take care of him in BTU checked in on him when they found out he was there. They were going to go walk to BTU after we got off the phone and I told her I doubt that anybody reconizes him now. He has packed on 69 pounds since he was in there and has that mustash.. I bet they will reconize her before they reconize him!
