Here is the site that they came from, but I have come across a couple of other cat clip art sites in my internet surfing.

Aly thank you for explaining what happened. No wonder you are hurt! It seems that some of your co-workers have "memory lapses" about all of the good things you have done there. I can't believe they, of all people, can't understand your reasoning to want your two kittens to be adopted together. So many times at Petfinder they say "must go together" when advertising two animals. It's really too bad when people forget that their goal is to find the best places for these pets and let their own agendas get into the picture. Unfortunately you will find nasty people in all walks of life, but somehow I felt that shelter workers would be a notch up from the others. I would just continue to go in and do my job and try to act as normally as possible. If you leave there with a sweet demeanor that's what they will remember and it will help them to regret all the more everything that happened as they move on without you. Remember, what goes around comes around. I really hope you enjoy your new job and will be anxious to hear from you how it goes. I visited the site and of course immediately fell in love with Docker, one of the dogs up for adoption. He looks to be a dachshund/basset mix.

I hope you get a little rest and relaxation in the time you will have off between your two jobs. This is so sad, but your friends here at Pet Talk are here for you. ((hugs))

I'm never going to understand what happens to shelter people or rescue people, for that matter. I have heard so many stories like you described, Aly, of backstabbing and bickering among them. I'm sorry you got caught in the middle. I'm just sorry that if it bothered them for you to bring your dogs to work, that someone didn't pull you aside and ask you not to do it anymore. Why can't people be more professional in their words and deeds?

I do hope that Spice will have a wonderful new home. But, I sure hate the way that they handled the whole situation with you.

Take a deep breath, and move on. Don't let them trap you into acting as unprofessionally as they have.

Aly, I am so sorry to hear about what happened. It seems your coworkers are not your friends and what childish lil people they are! I am sorry that you are hurting now.

Glad that you have another job to go to. I wuld go ahead and give them my two weeks notice so that you may leave in a good way. Take a few sick days off and when you are at work, try to avoid those backstabbers and hope that time flies!

Good luck with everything Aly. Chin up!

Aly, this is terrible that someone would go to that much trouble just to hurt you. I'm so sorry. I do hope though that you LOVE working at your new job!

Mean people are dumb! I'm sorry you've been working amidst backstabbing monster's. Some people just seem incapable of thinking like the rest of us.

I know you were hoping Spice would be a part of your family. Wherever he is, I'm sure he is safe and happy. You gave him another chance. Sometimes things are just out of our hands.

Good luck with your new job. Maybe the people there will be a bit more civil!

There's no way I can avoid the people who did it. 3 of them I could but the one who was mainly at fault is the one I work most closely with. I would try ignoring her but she did the most awful thing anyone has ever done to me. I want to say so many bad things to her. Its not in my nature to confront people but I would do it this time.

I called the opererations director and asked for a meeting with her. She will understand and work something out with me. I really don't want to leave in a bad way because I still want to volunteer there.

I have a nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach.

How can people be so cruel! What's come over them? How can they treat you like that. When you are gone, they will see how much you used to do for them and in their cold hearts they WILL miss you. I wish you the best of luck in the new shelter. I am so very sorry about Spice. However, there is a dog out there who really needs you more. That dog will be the one you will finally adopt. Good luck!

I dont think I was meant to get another dog. all these really weird incidents that keep happening is probably just some kind of sign that I should just give up.

I don't know. I'm thinking of volunteering through Animal Trustees of Austin too so I might end up with a dog from there.

CJ still hasnt called me back. I really need to talk to her today because I REALLY need tomorrow off.

Aly, I'm so sorry to hear about the awful things that happened. I do think you are doing the right thing though. If the people at work are that childish and mean, you would just be miserable in your job, and that's not good. It's really sad that people would do something like that! They're really going to regret their actions when you leave, because there won't be anyone more giving than you to offer up their time to fill in and work extra hours for no pay. Too bad for them! It's just ashame, because I would think that the people in rescues like that would be a little more mature and civil. After all, they are animal lovers...aren't they? After hearing about their rudeness...I'm not so sure....

I do wish you luck in your new job. I'm so glad you had one to fall back on, and please don't think that you aren't supposed to have another dog. This might just be a way of telling you to wait, because there is a little soul that needs you, and you will find that little soul when the time is right.

    **hugs**

Do keep us posted on the new job and how things are going at your previous job location.

Aly, when the Lord closes a door, he opens a window. In other words, these are not signs you are not suppose to have another dog. It just means the perfect dog for you has not shown up yet!

Hang in there. If you have too, tie a knot at the end of the rope. There is a pot of Gold waiting to be discovered at the other end of the rainbow!

How horrible for people to treat you that way! I just don't understnad why adults feel they need to act like junior high kids with all the backstabing and crap that goes on! I hope the new shelter will be much more plesant.

As Candy said, don't get discouraged. I am sure the prefect third dog is out there and will show up when the time is right (maybe after you have moved?)
