hometown" is evidently Chappaqua, NY. Durn, didn't think she grew up here.
I was born in Indianapolis, raised in Rockford, educated in Arizona, live in California and call Chicago my hometown.

Surely you can find something more substantial than Hillary referring to the place where she owns a house her "hometown" to pick on??? Perhaps her hair style or the color of the last suit she wore?

    Pardon.

Did I pick on the wrong candidate/official?

My most humble apologies for posting something I found amusing in a "political fun" thread.

I will try to remember that the dear Senator Clinton is not to be harassed.

  3. You can harrass anyone you want. Just wondered what was the funny part?

A politician calls the place where she has a home and the place she represents her hometown?

A place she has a home............

That she spends little to no time at. Memorial day, 4th of July, and other media op days, that's about it.

    The place she represents?

She represents NYC, which is the major source for her votes. She couldn't care less about the rest of the state, unless she has a bevy of reporters with her so she can protest a Pentagon procurement decision to make headlines. She makes tours of the state, but never without media coverage arranged by her staff.

Heck, if it wasn't for an up for grabs Senate seat she wouldn't give a damn about the state at all.

  5. Okay...let me try this humor thing...

George Bush Jr...born in Conn, attended Andover and Yale...got connected to the Alabama Guard...calls Texas his home state...what a hoot! LOL!

Ronald Reagan...born, raised and educated in Illinois...called California his home state. ROTFLMAO!

I'm not sure too many politicians spend a whole lot of time back on the home turf....congress usually meets in Washington.

Others are too busy chopping fire wood....so funny!

GWB- lived in Texas for years before running for political office.

Reagan-worked in Hollywood for years before running for office.

HRC-Lived in NY for the minimum legal amount of time before declaring candidacy for the Senate, and has the gall to call Chappaqua, NY her "hometown".

If you asked me what my hometown is, I'd tell you a small town in Mass.

If you asked me where I live, I'd tell you NY.

If you ask me where I'm from, I'd tell you it was a loaded question.

  8. You call it gall....I suspect if Hillary said the earth rotates around the sun you would find something wrong with it.

Now here's a funny one. The new Monica....the woman charged with vetting candidates for the Justice Dept based on political correctness.

She agreed to testify before congress under a grant of immunity. Then refuses to answer questions pleading the 5th (and 6th)!

    Now THAT'S gall...

Guess she missed the class at her prestigious law school when they discussed the meaning of the word "immunity." Probably getting her highlights done.

    Got it.

Republicans.......Bad, and female republicans are vapid nitwits.

Democrats.........Wonderful, and female democrats are the pinnacle of society.

Funny, I just looked at several stories about Ms. Goodling, and the only references I can find to her pleading the 5th are from before the grant of immunity.

Also, why would one plead the 6th? Please can I have a speedy and fair trial, Madame speaker?

At least make claims that make sense.

  10. Saw the tapes...she pleaded the 5th AFTER the grant of immunity. Why do I have to make sense of this? I am not the one pleading the 5th or the 6th....

Sorry...maybe you missed something. Sometimes you seem to suggest if YOU didn't see/read/hear something...it doesn't exist. And I thought only people who had done something wrong pleaded the 5th. You know...like gangsters and such. And why does someone who hasn't done anything wrong need immunity?

And btw....show me one time I have suggested Hillary is a pinnacle of society. In fact...I have said repeatedly that she disappointed me and I do not (regrettably) support her candidancy for president. Ouch. Truth.

I am just a seeker of truth and honesty.... And humor...

    Where are you Gerald Ford?

Richard, Ya know when you're fishing and a seagull drops one on you it's good luck. Wonder what it translates to in politics?

    ES,

If you're going to claim someone said something, it would be best to provide a link to a transcript or an article citing the quote. Being that it was congressional testimony, if it happened it shouldn't be too hard to find.

For someone who doesn't like Sen. Clinton, you certainly are the first one in this forum to jump to her defense whenever the slightest dig is sent her way.

I'll stick with believing past history.

    LOLOLOLOL

One little bit 'o trivia that I really loved.

On "Hilton Friday" the Mayor of Lost Angeles put out a press release.

Antonio Villaraigosa (Don't worry I can't pronounce it either.....) Shows up at every photo opportunity- EVERY OPPORTUNITY....If a finch passes gas on a phone pole and one camera is in sight, HE WILL BE THERE.

I laugh and miss the SOB when I read the morning paper and don't see his picture....

    -----------
The press release stated that AV and his wife were separating after 20 years of marriage.

The reporter who broke into the Paris Slow Speed Chase with the news said something like...."And he is no where to be found....."

LOLOLOLOLOL, Sorry, I have to make fun of somebody after the week I had!
