    Farewell Lucas - have a safe trip. You're going to meet so many wonderful critters at the bridge. Say 'Hello' to Henry and Phineas for me. Phineas is big and beautiful and orange - just like you.

    Jen - I'm sorry for the pain you are going through and will go through for some time to come. I also admire you for coming to this decision, and what a hard one it is to decide when is not too soon or not too late. I see in his face what others see, that Lucas doesn't want to leave you, but his body is tired and painful and he is ready to leave it behind.

    When you feel like it, please post some stories and old photos Lucas for those of us who have known him a very short time.

    Oh Jen, I'm so very sorry. Lucas was one of my favourites here, such a sweet boy he was. I know you are the right thing for him, but it's very hard, I know.

    Have a safe trip to the RB, dear Lucas, you will be very much missed. Know that Pjevs will be there to greet you - and you're just in time to celebrate with John on his birthday tomorrow.

    I'm so sorry your boy has to go, but he will live in your heart forever.

    Just remember you are doing your best for him, no matter how difficult it may seem.

    I'm so sorry for your loss but may it be a comfort to know Lucas no longer suffers and is playing happly at the bridge.
