Snoopy has had 2 major seizure in less than 24 hours. We just increased his medication about 6 weeks ago when he had 6 seizures in a month's time. Snoopy had a seizure about 8:30 last night while he was outside. Tonight he had one about 5:15 in the living room. I called the vet right away and he called back about 6:30.
I had to go get a thermometer that would read out in 8 seconds and take his temp tonight. We also doubled his valium both so hopefully it will keep him from having another one and so he would relax more. He gets very upset after a seizure and last night we could not get him to quit barking at us. We tried feeding him, watering him, petting him, holding him - nothing worked. Finally we gave up, put him in his kennel and went to our room to watch TV. He seems better when he is in his kennel - he is used to sleeping there so if we go to bed, all is right in his world again. He barked for a few minutes but then got quiet and was fine all night.
Please pray that this was just some kind of fluke and he won't have any more seizures!
