    Skunk

    Skunk

They have ALWAYS been one of my most favorite animals, closely following wolves.

Between a year ago to two years ago I finally got deep into researching them and was even looking up breeders so i could go and meet them. I still like them yet to this day. However i consider nutrition a HUGE part of pet care. There just isn't enough knowledge out there on proper skunk nutrition. And what is known shows me that it is VERY difficult. You can NOT skimp on paying attention to their nutritional needs. Though i can do home made, I just naturally am better at feeding canines. I don't think I could be dedicated enough for a skunk.

I was researching them just after looking deep into having a pet crow... and finding out the same thing... They're just not the right pet for me. Neither is the skunk. I love them dearly, but for now I'll just settle with loving them in the wild.

One of the only ones left that i want that i haven't had... is the fox. (I know there is no way i can have a wolverine in the city!!! LOL) Sorry, I like all the odd things. And of the one i did have I gave it a wonderful life. (and plan on getting another in the future... just not right now.) The fox is on hold right now though due to a current personal situation. ...and helping with Koli.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

    Iguana

I had an Iguana growing up and she was great. She roamed the house during the day and went in her tank (my dad built 75 gal tererium for her sorry if I spelt that wrong!) at night. She even walked on a leash. We had her about 4 years then she got sick. She had eggs she tried to pass and they got stuck, there is a name for it, but I can't remember. Her kidneys ended up failing due to the eggs not passing and we had to put her down. It was very sad, but I never forgot Jamaca. She was so great. I have been thinking about getting another, but not for a while.

I'd love to have a few goats as lawn mowers.

Above is an Anatolian Shepherd Dog puppy bonding to a baby goat! The goat and puppy are from a year ago and belong to a friend. Not mine, but I wish!

Right now, since my Arab mare has passed on, for the time being, one of our neighbors with a pair of miniature horses, has parked them on my property.

Above: One of my Anatolians, whose name is Ruya, seen with the horses. This photo is mine and from my property.

Another pic of these Lawn mowers.

More pics and details here .

We might still get a pony for a lawn mower, or maybe some goats or hair (as opposed to wool bearing) sheep. Time isn't right, right now, but we'll see how it goes.

I would pick Iguana first, then Sugar Glider, then goat....I don't know about the other two. Actually, maybe a goat before the Sugar Glider....I'd probably lose the little critter....

LOL, eating my heart out! They're probably still too pricey for me and I think you need to have at least two for their social needs, plus you need to be able to shear them for their health. It's pretty hard to find professional shearers any more.

Hubby has mentioned getting a donkey... I don't *think* so! We're surrounded by people who would hear the music, everytime the donkey sang! We are sometimes still outside at 1 in the morning or getting out and about at 6 AM. He laughed and said still a good idea and gave an evil smile.

I always thought an iguana would be so cool to own, some of them get really huge and just roam around the house freely.
