    Here is my brood:

LILY ~ DSH female gray w/light tabby markings; age uncertain but elderly

MEESHE ~ DSH blonde tabby boy; age uncertain but not over 2 yrs. old; FeLV+

DEBRA ~ *Newest Addition as of 10/01* DSH blk/wh cow patterned little girl about 9 mo. old!

SHASTA ~ Siberian Husky; black/white; 12 yrs. old

SADIE ~ Siberian Husky; cinnamon/white; 11 yrs. old and - we recently discovered - has lost most or all of her hearing. Lately Shasta has been constantly licking Sadie's ears. Now we know why - she is trying to make her all better so she can hear again.

TIM ~ Palomino horse; rainbow bridge; see and read all about him on Pet Of The Day Feb. 6, 2000.

I've so enjoyed meeting everyone's pets!

My 3 cats are Kitto, Beebaboo (how stupid is THAT?) and Tiny One. The only one that doesn't cause me to cringe when they go to the vet is Kitto and that name isn't that great!

The Staff at Phred's Ranch for Stray Critters includes:

Phred = the Old Enuff "Dad" to the Kids:

Boots, the Kat = B&W Tuxedo, male, 3yo

Cinder = small German Shepherd, female, 2.5yo
Smokey = small German Shepherd / ?Mix, male, 1.5yo

Boots jumped through the dog-torn screen door as a tiny kitten and accepted the challenge of teaching the cat-intolerant dog Shadow (Rainbow Bridge) that the house needed a cat.

Cinder was recruited at 6 months of age from a West Virginia pound via her picture posted by the pound's volunteer "Angel Moms".

Smokey was abused and dumped in front of the Ranch and immediately *adopted* by Cinder this January. His story, or Tail, is chronicled from day one in the long running saga at: http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/Forum7/HTML/000036.html

At Auntie Pam's Home for Wayward Kitties, we have:

Murf - 13+ yr old male orange tabby. My first fur baby. Napping is his specialty.

Winston Winkle Whitewall - 18 mo old male gray tabby - blind since birth. His name is bigger than he is.

    Former Residents:

Squee - 10 mo old male gray - gone but not forgotten. My comfort during a time of need.

Daisy - 6 yr old female tuxedo - dancing with the butterflies at the Rainbow Bridge.

Last but not least, I dogsit for 2 sweet black miniature poodles, CooCoo and LuLu. It is like being an aunt. I go over and play with them, then let the owner handle the vet bills.

I'm Caroline, 39, (13/2/63), a music librarian in Sydney, Australia. I share a home & my life with Tebaldi (voluptuous, white cat with beautiful blue eyes) - she's approximately 10 years old. I celebrate her birthday on October 5th which is really the anniversary of the day she came to live with me as I don't know her real birthday.

Hey Kat Group of Pet Talkers ~ Boots, the Kat here ~

A lot of you might not know it, but Freckles (aka Miz Joan) uses this topic, AND the
"Name/Pets List" in Dogs General section to publish a Reely HANDY Names & Pets LIST that tabulates your screen name, real human name, Pet's name(s), description, sex,and birthdate that you can use as a ready reference when posting here. Purdy handy if you're like our Dad - kinda furgetful bout which kritterz belongs to which Hoomins.

Since these two posts are where Miz Joan gets her data for the list - ask yer Two-Leggers if they could PLEEZE:
    • EDIT their posts to DELETE any posts that have chit-chat rather than factual data
    • EDIT their posts to update or correct any pet names or add birth dates
    • EDIT posts to add descriptions or M/F sex
    • New Folks: ADD a post to be added to THE LIST
    • Everybody: Show an E-mail address in your PROFILE - that's how you'll get a copy of THE LIST
    • Put each PetKid on a seperate line - easier to read
    • Miz Joan sez THANKS!

If you're new to either of these topics, add a new post, and Joan will get your data and
add you to THE LIST; if have already posted in either the Dog or Cat topic, please edit your older post, even if it's on page 1 or 2 - she'll spot the change from the "edited by" notation that appears.

Anybody that's made a recent addition or adoption to the FurKid Family should EDIT their original post to include the New Kid rather than insert a new post.

And you don't have to split the Kats an Dawgs an Other Kritters - ONE post in either the Dog or Cat section can include the Whole PetKid Family

I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)
