Andy and I are heading out to MIS tonight. Time to do the sunshine dance for a sunny Father's Day race.

Have fun!! Looks like the weather will clear off and the rest of the weekend will be okay... If you want to give me a call Sunday, I'll be up there!

I can't believe Junior got his first win after 76 winless and no one had commented!! If that last caution hadn't come out......

Had a great time today! I'm uploading pictures (if I can get Shutterfly open!) and will add a link.

I'm pretending it didn't happen. LOL I would say that I was glad so that I won't have to listen to the complaints on Sirius anymore. But we all know they'll just start talking about something else Jr related. LOL Like the fact that he passed the pace car. Sheesh. I don't hate Jr, just having to hear about him all the time.

I'm much happier about the second place finisher.

Glad you had a good time. Looking forward to pictures.

We got to the track failrly early, and we were able to catch several of the drivers in their souvenior trailers signing autographs. We didn't wait in line for any of them, but were able to get close and get some pictures.

It's been so long ... hard to believe!

Also - we had to make sure no one was gonna toss a last minute Penalty Flag!

The Kid seemed rather *happie* about the win!

Of course all the talk was, it had been 76 races since his last win. His Daddy had 76 total wins...and it is Father's Day. People will find a connection in anything!!!

    Hey gang!

Andy and I are now home, unpacked, and ready to sleep. *laughs*

Amy, glad you had a good time. That was a great race! So happy Jr. got the win and that the rain held off. That just made my dad's day.

We tried calling a few Pet Talkers but could get no signal in the infield on Race Day. We figured it was because of all the radio signals. I could call out on Saturday though, go figure.

We were camped three rows from the rail at Turn 2. Took a zillion photos but won't get them uploaded till tomorrow.

My brother and his family are back in Michigan visiting my SIL's family. As a father's day gift to my brother they were going to go tour the racetrack (not sure which one). When they got into town someone asked if they were there for the race. What race?!?! Then they found out the race was there today. So they immediately got tickets. I can't believe they didn't know it was there before they went. What ever. LOL
So I bet my brother had a GREAT fathers day today.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Kyle Busch is reportedly leaving the number 18 team.

Reports are that he looked down at his fire suit and noticed that he wasn't racing for the M&M team.

"I sure don't know what happened, but I was tricked into racing as a W&W team driver. I am upset that I have to leave, I really like peanuts."

Well it looks like you had a great day for a race girls! I'd say I wish I could have been there, but Mark would kill me (he slept through the whole race!)
I'm glad Jr got his first win, maybe now they'll quit talking about him all the time...lol! Too bad Tony didn't win, but hey...he placed above Kyle and Denny!
I'm off to look at your pictures Amy and will be looking forward to seeing yours Kim!

Don't worry Anna, I was rooting for him for ya. Still a top 5 finish, not too shabby.
