Connie, I was going to post yesterday, but my phone rang........and off I went back to work.

I too, see a rocker or another chair on the front porch with YOU in it - just relaxing and taking in the fresh air and scenery.

I hope everything gets fixed and you no longer have any leaks.

We are all so excited for you!

Leak all fixed. I'm going to go try the washer and drying out in a bit.

First, here's a pic of the "ladybug" room. The boarder around the top has ladybugs on it. This was their little girl's room. They had a matching ladybug quilt on the bed and ladybug drapes. There was even a ladybug stepping stone in the yard. Of course, they took all those with them but it was fun seeing them.

Oddly enough, this room is the same color as the kitchen was in my grandmother's house which is just accross the alley. I lived there for a while after she died and painted the kitchen that color with yellow drapes.
This is going to be my library now.

Lady bugs must be the latest "in" thing with little girls, Connie.

My four year old niece wanted her room painted yellow and green with lady bugs on the walls............and lady bugs in her quilt.

Lady bugs are good luck - or so I always heard..............

Connie, I'm SO happy for you!!

It looks like a wonderful house - I love porches. I can imagine you sitting there all summer, enjoying the flowers (I'm sure you'll get) in the garden sipping lemonade and serving catnip tea for the furries.

Just got back here after doing my first load of laundry at my new place. Took me a while to figure out the machines. I'm used to the kind you put money in the slot and they do their own thing.

Funny thing, the washer is so deep two pairs of my undies got in the back and I couldn't reach them. I had to use my cane to fish them out!

My new bed and rocker recliner will come Thursday between 10 and 11! My phone service will be started that day too. I'll still have it here for a week or two. Got to get the computer moved and the cats before I can stay there all night. Got to get the cable installed too.

After that, I can stay there and just move stuff from here as I can until I get to the remaining furniture then the movers will bring it. It's going to take a while to get to that stage though!

I imagine the washer and dryer running will scare the cats to death!

Isn't that the best feeling, Connie? After doing laundry in a laundromat for over two years, with a toddler, I was SO happy to finally rent a house that I could put a washer and dryer in! I thought I had gone to heaven!!!!!

Can't wait to hear more stories from you about the new house!!!!!

I got some new furniture today. A new recliner and my new bed. Zippy and Anna_66 had both sent me Walmart gift cards for my birthday. The throw is what I got from Anna and also one for the chair, there are deer on the throws. The sheets are from Zippy. They are a beautiful blue that matches the sky on the throws. You can see them peeking out of the left front corner.

The bunny angel is one I've had for years. She has broken wings but I think she still manages to watch over us, so I have her watching over the new place. Need to clean the blinds yet so don't look at the dust.
