So glad Drake is now ok. What a scare though. Good luck with your wisdom teeth. I had two taken out by an oral surgeon. They just gave me a shot and it was done. I am terrified of dentists so it was the only way for me to do it. I live by myself too but got along just fine. All I wanted to do was sleep at first anyway. Hint...take an ice pack with you and use it on the way home. It will help the pain and swelling. If you live in the same town, just put it on when you get home. I had to go out of town to get mine done. I only needed one of the pain pills they prescribed for me. It is a good idea to have someone check on you though. I have an aunt who called me. Good luck again.

    {{{Souraya}}}!

Good work saving Drake and you have my best wishes for the wisdom teeth work on Monday. Fingers and paws crossed here.

(Now I need to go make sure there are no plastic bags out around my place -- I was aware of the rubber band problem, but wow! plastic bags...)

    SO WOULD I!!!

I still have my wisdom teeth but the dentist says they should come out. 3 are partially erupted and one is impacted and I say "NO WAY DOC"! They don't hurt so I'll leave them alone, Thank you very much!

Can you tell I'm a chicken? I don't do pain well at all and I'm sure I would be making the biggest fuss and expecting everybody to cater to me! LOL

I know before long though I will have to face the music and get them out. Souraya, you make all the big deal you want and get special pampering! It's nice your brother can come over and check on you and maybe exercise Drake for you.

I disagree with "Mom". You are by yourself, and anytime you have general anesthesia, it is scary!! I was in college when I had my wisdom teeth removed, and I only had two to start with, but I popped those pain killers and let my mother be my waitress!! LOL!! Many years later, I had a hernia repaired (turned out the hernia happened when I was pregnant), but my dad came over to Columbia, where I was living at the time, and took me to the hospital for the outpatient surgery, then back to their house (in another town) so I could recuperate and be "watched". Being alone is not easy sometime, whether it be a stomach virus or surgery. I'm glad you have friends and family that can check on you and Drake. I'm sure Andrew feels better knowing that too!

Oh Souraya! How frightening!! Thank goodness Drake came through well! Gosh, my Star loves to grab plastic bags! Now you have to take care of yourself!! Tired and in pain...geez! I'll be thinking of you on Monday! I've had 2 wisdom teeth removed. It was done in the oral surgeon's office with novacaine. It was done in a minute or two, and I had no pain afterwards, only swelling. I'm sure you're looking forward to beng rid of the pain! Glad to hear someone will be looking in on you! Take advantage of your few days off with Drake!

How scary for you and Drake! Glad he is okay!

I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth out when I was a junior in college. Three years after graduation, I still got 'em....I would be making a big deal out of it too!!!

Glad to hear Drake's a-okay...and relax about the wisdom teeth. Just look at it this way at least you don't have to have your jaw broken at the same time like my sisters did.

that's probably not helping is it?

    AWWWWWW poor Drake,
I missed the original post also?!?! Glad he is doing better and is back to his old self again. Sorry you had to go through such a hard time. I had no idea pets would eat plastic bags either?!?!? Tinky loves bags........

I wonder how they could eat a bag in the first place?!?!? Poor little furrbabies!! I usually let Tinky play in big bags and cut the handles so she wont get stuck, but after hearing everyones stories I may stop doin that!!

Poor Drake! I am so Glad he is alright. How scary!!!! Louie once ate a toy over Easter and we were VERY panicked. Great job keeping a calm head even though you were probably a wreck inside. I SO know that feeling. Glad all is OK now.

As for your teeth- This would be one time that "Mother Does NOT know Best"--- I had my Wisdom Teeth done when I was about 23-

I agree with Dixieland Dancer " Souraya, you make all the big deal you want and get special pampering! It's nice your brother can come over and check on you and maybe exercise Drake for you. "

    YOU DESERVE TO BE PAMPERED!!!!!

Wow, you sure deserve some rest after all your adventures! I'm glad Drake is feeling fine, and can give you lots of love while you are recovering from your dental ordeal.

You were very smart to act so quickly for Drake. Sometimes we feel silly for being alarmed, but you saved him from possible surgery and worse! How great that they were able to take out that nasty plastic bag without more trouble.

    Best wishes to you both!

Anna, Drake had to have his stomach pumped. The bag came out in a few pieces.

I am taking half the day off today and all of tomorrow. I will be driving to see Andrew and then we will be going to Destin for the weekend. Andrew's brother is getting married this weekend. I figured I would have some fun before Monday.

I guess we won't be hearing from you in the next few days. Hurry back after the teeth are gone and let us know how you're doing!

    Have fun over the weekend!

So Glad Drake is fine, and what a scare.
On windy days, I find plastic bags in my back
yard. I usually pick them up right away, after
Drakes experience I will pick them up FAST!

What a scary experience! Poor baby! I'm glad Drake's doing well. I have stopped my boys on occassion chewing on plastic bags. Usually its on trash pickup day and paper (and plastic) flies around while being emptied. My dogs always find it when I take them for a walk. I hope things turn out ok with your wisdom teeth too. I had mine removed at age 20. Mine were extremely painful so I was glad to have them removed. Get it done now so you'll have no worries of problems later.
