Boy I'd hate to be the female donkey, that has to be a tough delivery.Originally Posted by Miss Z

Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
When I was little, I rode an elephant at a circus. Then at fairs I have rode ponies and mules when I was a kid.
Wow, I didn't know you could do that...the male horse, I assume, is a small breed? As far as I knew, the mom had to be a horse because she is bigger. If you had a big male horse mate with a small female donkey...what happens if the foal is really big? It would be likely to kill her, no?Originally Posted by Miss Z
I've only ridden horses. Although when I was a kid they had "stuffed" animals...what do you call them? Like taxodermy or whatever you call it. They were real, but they stuffed themAnyway when I was a kid someone put me on a stuffed lion o_O I have a picture of it somewhere.
My babies: Josie, Zeke, Kiba, Shadow (AKA Butter)
I'm not entirely sure how they breed hinnies, but i think they generally use mammoth donkeys, and smallish horses or even ponies. Mules are more common than hinnies as they are stronger and more intelligent, and apparently jennets (female donkeys) are less fertile than mares. I think hinnies arwe really cute thoughOriginally Posted by slleipnir

Horse, donkey, elephant, camel, and other.
As a little kid, I used to ride my poor dogs around. Two of them were actually pretty good about it, too. They'd take me all over. Also rode on sheep, cows, and one big sow when I was little.
Happy is he who causes scandal--- Salvador Dali.
I've ridden horses, a pony and an elephant (that was a looooong time ago...). I'd love to try and ride a Killer Whale some day though...
I have ridden three horses (Butch, Maggy, and Strawberry) and several ponies. I have also ridden a camel and an elephant..Oh, I forgot to chose other too! My aunts gigantic dog made a perfect riding buddy for a little girl! LOL!

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole
Among the several listed critters I've ridden, I've also ridden a pig. I was very young then and it happened one day, and a short ride with someone holding me steady!
I think it happened because I said I wanted to go ride a kalesa or go horseback riding. No one had time and it was just a joke I guess to humor me and put me on a pig's back.![]()

While helping to feed the same pigs one day, I had a very poofy little dress on and it went through the pig wire -- one of the pigs chomped on and was trying to eat my dress! That was scary. lol This was in the Philippines and familes and friends typically had chickens and pigs. The maid at the house came when I screamed and I got my dress back without having it ripped. I liked the piggies, just didn't understand them at that time and I don't think they understood me. haha
Oh and my little sister's friend rode Bubba the "tame" Alligator. I held is head in my lap and the herp show a few years ago.
