I already mentioned that we only do it when its not hot out. Why would you assume it is "hot as blazes out"?

So if u have stayed in a car before whats so shocking.

Just because he loves car rides does not mean he likes being locked in the car by himself while you go off and do your thing.

Well if he associated car rides with being alone and he didn't like it he would not be excited to go on them. I have watched him from inside stores, he loves watching the people.

All dogs are curious. They enjoy the freedom they feel from a car ride. They usually don't associate car ride with being left alone but with being out in the cool fresh air and the excitement of seeing new things. He enjoys watching people because 9 chances out of 10 he is expecting each one of the to come let him out or pay him attention. Does he not get very excited when you come back to the car? That is because they don't like being alone. They are social creatures and unless they were solitary animals then they want to be in the company of someone not left alone in a car.

This doesn't make sense, he would just be left at home ALONE then. He isn't the kind of dog that wants constant attention. He is old and he likes being alone.

I personally would never leave my dogs alone ANYWHERE, besides in our own home or in a home of our friend's.

Being in Florida there's no way a dog would survive in the car with no AC. If we bring one of the dogs on a car ride to go to the store, I stay in the car with them, WITH the AC on.
Besides getting heat stroke, who knows if someone's going to tease them, steal them, etc. If the windows down, slip them something dangerous to eat. So many things could happen and I prefer to take that extra step to make sure they are safe. There's so many evil people out there who are willing to do all of the above without any guilt on their mind whatsoever.

Last I checked I spoke in english and proper english at that. Everyone I have been chatting with about this issue understands my reply very easily so why is it only YOU cannot understand it? Maybe simply because you do not want to understand it and by saying you don't understand means you can be right. Well that is fine you can be the only one that is right and I guess everyone else is wrong. Thanks for your expertese on the matter.

Whether he is in the car or alone at home either way he is all alone by himself so whether they are social animals or not is farily useless.

Whatever, I know my dog very well, and I love him and I only want the best for him. So yes, I do no best. I know what is best for MY dog and since you have never seen/met him you don't.

OK dear. You know what is best no other person has a clue. All the animal experts are wrong and you are right because he is your dog. Well no matter. It is completely useless arguing with someone who believes they are always right. Arguement finished. You can reply and say all you wish. I am done. We all know what is the proper thing to do and what is proven to be better for the animal. Finished. I will not reply again and argue with some that thinks they are right no matter what.

    Okay "dear"

I dont think im always right, but in this case I find it hard to believe that you would know what is best for my dog.

The only reason I sugguested to the customer to leave her window rolled 1/2 way is if I said never leave your dog in a car. It is not my place but at least aI suggested something a little better so her dog would not get hit in the parking lot. The sad part she wasn't all that upset she got out. My pets are my kids. Heck I'd be upset. But that is just me. I had 2 Golden Retreivers. One lived to br 15 1/2 and the other not quite 10, she had bad allergies and was getting worse. I took her to a specialist and their was nothing else he could do. Please don't leave your dog alone in the car. Can't you have somebody stay in the car with your dog?

I agree with everyone on NOT leaving your dogs or any animal in the car. There's not reason for it The makeup or whatever can wait.

How you would like to be in a car with the locks broken and there you where stuck and you could'nt much air at all your heartbeats getting faster and you can't find the person with the keys. Does that really sound comfortable to you ??

IT sure the heck does'nt to me.
