It was $2.59 this morning. I'm sure it'll be higher when I drive by a station this afternoon.

I've got an SUV but have been conserving like mad in protest of the higher prices. From 40 gallons a month to 20 gallons a month.

Don't know how you do it. How can I use less gas when I use my SUV ONLY to go to work and back. ditto hubby.

I am fortunate enough to work very close to home (about 7 miles) but I know many people that travel 50+ miles a day just to get to work. I think the government should do more.
Thats me, well almost, I drove about 40 miles one way, 5 days a week.
Put in $30.00 one & a half days ago & almost on empty again.

    hiya beeniesmom!

I stopped coming home for lunch everyday. I run all errands on the way home. I stopped going across town every weekend to see family and friends.

If my job wasn't so precarious right now, I'd buy an eletric motor scooter to go back and forth to work and just use my car on the weekends.

Wow, it's that high in Italy too. That's why everyone goes around in Vespas and scooters.

The gas station right by my house was at $2.499 last night. This morning, as expected, it was $3.099. However, I believe it's up to $3.599 in some parts of my city.

Thank GOD my dad warned me about the sudden increase in gas and as to why, because I filled up Monday (I was low anyways...) and that should be last at least a month, because I'm on a major conserving streak. I pay for my own gas and insurance, and I no longer have a job. And I don't have time for a job, so I'm conserving my money too..

It costs $3.19 approximately. I had seen it going up in price a little through town.

In my area of Pittsburgh, the average price is $2.69 a gallon. It won't be long before it's over $3.00!

you guys in the U.S. get your gas by the gallon right? Here in Canada it is by the litre. So there are 4 litres in a gallon. It is 1.19 a litre which means $4.76 a gallon but that is in canadian dollars so it would be in American dollars...$4.00 a gallon.

Our prices are still right around $2.50. Mom called me today and said her area is up to $3.09. She's coming to visit me tomorrow so she said she's going to make sure she fills up before she leaves!
