I sent a few people a list of these a few years ago. They're quite convenient sometimes, like when you need a degree symbol: °
... which is: & deg; (no space!)

You search for html or ascii and you'll find them all. Here's one link to a site:

actually, if you go to Insert Symbol in Microsoft word, then you can gat almost any symbol!
