I will talk to my parents again. For a while, she was fine, and then about two days of being normal, it got all red and swollen, I will talk to my parents again.

Kay, thanks for that little tid bit, I will bring that up to my parents, and see what they say. It is a good way on conviincing them to spay her!

I am hoping to get her back in soon, please, keep your fingers crossed!

oh dear, I just saw this.. how is she today??

her red rear could be for many reasons - I can't say much without seeing it. what I would do is bring her to vet and have her check out asap.

but if you're about to spay her, I think you could find your local humane society nearby you and spaying fee shouldn't be more than $80 or so..

let me know how she's today and sorry about this misery.

    many hugs,

rest and sleep softly sweet locke..

    Special months of discounts

I am not sure of the exact month, but there is a month of "discounts" on spaying/nuetering animals. The Humane Society may sponsor this. They usually offer good discounts for this service anyways. However, there is an even deeper discount at certain times of the year.
When I got my cat fixed it was $45 for that certain month. Our animal shelter makes it mandatory for the animals to be fixed prior to adoption. They actually do it BEFORE you can take the animal home. It is included in the adoption fee. So now it costs about $85 to adopt. Animals already fixed are cheaper.
For the redness issue... Could it be fleas? They can cause some redness in that area. Especially if she is chewing at it. The symptoms seem to come and go sproradically. May get some flea spray and spray her back end area.
Please make sure you can find a vet to do the fixing soon. There are programs out there. Make a few calls in the area or maybe look it up on the internet.

Sorry I have taken so long to get back. Well, Jesse is now back to normal? We were going to take her in, and when we double checked, she is normal. So we really didn't call, but are closely watching it!

Next sign of something happening, she's going right back!-and, I am going to get the money to spay her, I don't care what my parents say!-They might pay for half of it if I am willing to pay for all of it.

Well, Scooby4, that Humane Society discount, well, our Humane Society is so far in the whole, that they have raised the prices and asking for donations...They don't offer anything for pets that are not adopted out by them anyways..Thanks for the info though!
