Such wonderful pictures! My how Ebony is growing...she gorgeous! But then again so are Diamond and Jada (so glad to see her looking at the camera now)

awww, Great pictures! Ebony is so cute.
I had to take my friend's bird to the vet today and while I was there I was sitting next to a beautiful brindle pit. He was so sweet, he laid his head on me while I was petting him.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I will trade you for a week if you want Toby's my baby. I couldn't stand it much longer than that without them.

They have banned the pit bull in Denver. They are on the Eastern slope, we live on the Western slope. There are hardly any pit bulls in the town we live in. My son lives in Aurora (it's outside of Denver) they are probably going to ban the pit bull there next month. It's getting so out of control. It's really scary.....

Yes, we can keep Jada and Ebony. They are not banned here. Thank God!! My poor son wouldn't have been able to keep Ebony anyway if they ban them in Aurora.

What happens if you already own a pit and then they pass a banning law or whatever?

Who makes these laws? I can't believe there aren't enough people in that position that haven't met or owned pits that are like, you know, um... not evil. ? Cuz it seems like if they are banned, that's what they are. EVIL!

Heck, I've been bitten by a dacshund(sp?) but I didn't cry "OUTLAW!" I mean, I understand a pit's bite maybe worse but that's where the responsibility factor comes in.

It's just so frustrating when we all know how outrageously aweome APBT or Staffies or what-have-yous really can be.

By the way, I would really like to know what happens if you already own one...? Do they come after all the registered owners?


EDIT: Can you register your dog as something else instead? (My smokey gets mistaken for an American Bulldog all the time...)

Go over to the Dog Hose and read "Yet another Pit Bull Ban". That explains a lot of it. They are putting to sleep 3 pit bulls a day in Denver. If your dog is registered yes, they are going to houses and taking them. They are even banning the pit mixes. The whole thing has gotten way out of control here in Colorado. It makes me so mad and terribly sad.
