Has your dog ever went missing for more than a night?

My dog was a rescue pup when we first got him I was only a baby and he was always getting out of our house, He used to be picked up by the police everytime they got used to him being there and he used to go around with the traffic warden to do his rounds He was a real wonderer he didnt want to be in a house at all he was more of an outside dog and we tried so hard to make our garden impossible to escape but he always managed, We think they picked him up as a stray but he was the most trustworthy dog around me and my brothers and sister, he wouldnt harm a fly he was perfect

I think the longest Sally has been gone was maybe an hour. She is hard to catch when she goes wandering off...
