That's great news, Sandyfrost, that Yuri is more like his old self. Way to go, Yuri! Stay on the up and up!

I'm glad to hear Yuri is feeling better, and I'm also glad you've got friends with experience with this and good resources because knowledge about CRF makes a world of difference in how long kitties can live with it. Good luck to you and Yuri!

By the way, my Aunt's cat's name is Yuri.

Love your cats' name. Yes the more I know about CRF the better for kitty's health. That is so cool that Your Aunt's cat name is Yuri too.
    Thanks,

It's a good name. Yuri means "George" in Russian ..... my real name is Georgia; named after my Russian father, George.

    Yuri

Yuri is not improving as fast as the he shouldbe. There is a chance that he may need a kidney transplant. Cross your fingers and say a pray that he does not need a transplant.

I hope so much Yuri's disease can be managed without a transplant.

I am more or less sure that I would not put Filou through something like that. On one hand I know no cat would voluntarily donate his kidneys for another cat, on the other hand it would mean immunesupressive meds for the rest of the life.

I hope the sub Q fluids help for quite some time.
