Is this place in Maryland or near Maryland? Just curious, since I live in Maryland too. That is great that you can bring her there with you...

My mom has a shore house in Ocean City, NJ...and so when we take mini vacations, Harlee comes with us...but it would be cool to bring her to the place you stayed at...it would be fun to go somewhere different, and if it's in Maryland...even better!

Nope, it's down on the Outer Banks in NC. It took us about 6-7 hours, which isn't too bad - it goes really fast.

When looking around for a place to go for vacation, I only looked at pet friendly hotels and houses. I presented this idea to my husband and he loved it so that's where we went! For next year, I'd really like to go back to where we went for our honeymoon (Sanibel Island, Florida) with the baby... but Samantha would have to stay with my parents (not that they'll mind).

Sorry it's not closer, but it's a much nicer beach than Ocean City so for us, it was worth it!
