Not true, a tortie CAN have white. The difference is the calico has splotches of white, red, and black or blue. A tortie doesn't have splotches, it's color blend and run together. The color pattern can be blended together, but then have some white on them too (not blended). It's a tortie and white, like IRescue452 said.Originally posted by kimlovescats

This wasn't suppose to be an argument. All I wanted to do is state that a tortoiseshell cat can have white on it. It's kind of like a brindle dog, some have white on them and some don't. I didn't know that you used the word splotches. I still don't know where you used it, but I'm sorry, I should've used a different word.





My RB cat, Sara, was a tortoiseshell and white. She was just a regular torti and white -- I do LOVE dilutes like your's though. Maybe I'll adopt one some day.
