Damn.....Dachshunds are expensive!

Like most people said, buying a dog from a pet store is usually a bad idea. Dachsund's are also so prone to back problems that I wouldn't suggest buying from anyone other than a great breeder. You want to meet the parents and family and know their medical history. You also want to be certain that their parents have been tested for any diseases that are prone to dachsunds.

Please rescue one, I beg you! Like everyone else said, please dont support puppy mills! That is really expensive though, the dogs around here are only about $300 dollars for a dachshund, but again, PLEASE dont buy from a pet store.
