I think I need something for my cold. I'll take anything with booze and honey in it. In the meantime I mate just crash in this corner for a bit.

Mario, please stop throwing cherries at me.
Sounds like you could use a hot toddy!
Whisky, water, lemon juice and honey! My parents always gave them to us when we were kids and sick. Now days they would probably be arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor! We always felt better though!

I've been drinking hot orange juice and tea with lemon & honey. I have scotch, but it's Chivas Regal, and I can't bring myself to drink it in a toddy. I also made a batch of pea, ham & potatoe soup, that seems to be doing the trick.

Thanks mate, she's a beautiful little girl. Carole fell in love with her immeadiately, so we didn't really see any other rescue pups.

Hmmm...must be 'cause you're on the opposite side of the ol' dirt ball because split pea soup (what we call it) always makes Terry sick instead of making him feel better! He has an infamous story of how, one Halloween his mother wouldn't let him go trick or treating until he finished his pea soup and grape juice. He chugged it all down and two minutes later threw it right back up again. Can you imagine, pea soup and grape juice - eeeewwwwww Ever since then he can't stand the smell of pea soup....and I love it! Wonder how come he doesn't hate grape juice too?

Hot toddy for Oggy and Mudslides for the rest of the gang. Went to the liquor store tonight and they have all sorts of these drinks! I'm such an alcohol novice. Beer - no problem, but anything else and I only know the basics. So much to learn, so few Thursdays.

Fresh pitcher of Mudslides here for everybody!

    Hey all....

I haven't been to Thursdays in a long while! Heya Mario, whats up?

A nice glass of Warm milk for me thanks...I've been sick with this nasty sore throat and caugh thats making my stomach upset. Gosh it seems like everyone has been getting the ol creeping crud Remus says a catnip tea cures everything though...

Funny that Pea soup is mentioned. My mom made up a huge batch for mothers day and its been the only thing I've been able to keep down. I just love it! I'll take a bowl of that too...

Oh and dont forget the CNT for Remus and Spook, they've been working hard to make me feel better!

I just love pea soup, I make mine with any ham chunks I have, or a ham bone. It may be a bit thick to serve with mudslides today though If we are going to do soup, maybe some minestrone. Takes awhile but I'm sure I can find some leftovers to throw in. Hey you West Coasters, can anyone find some woooonderful sourdough bread? I feel like a bloody mary this morning (no comments from the peanut gallery please ). I've been humming Lou Reed songs all morning, can someone pleeeease put a nickel in the jukebox and play something else? Trev? I think dear little Possum and Mario have become fast friends by the way.

I don't blame him. I couldn't imagine trying to get down pea soup and grape juice, but the thought of it coming back up would be enough to keep me from getting it down.

O.K. Mario - settle down. Just because PJ's Mom asked who you were doesn't mean you have to strut around the bar like that - flinging cherries at everyone!

You know - Possum and Mario seem to get along quite well. How about we adopt Possum for the bar too? I think she could keep Mario in line. (I am in love with Possum too - but for me it is the eyes!)

Pea soup and grape juice - ka yuck!! It reminds me of having to eat breakfast on Christmas morning BEFORE opening presents when I was a kid. I opted for a bowl of corn flakes which I whoofed down. Promptly whoofed them back up! I have hated corn flakes to this day.

Now a mudslide - mmmm - does that sound good.

What is to eat around here - aside from pea soup? Laurie, are you making crab cakes today by any chance?

Richard will drop in when he can - serve up drinks for everyone - yell DONE and then go right back to work. Seems he has a new boss that has no sense of humor - and well - no sense!

I don't have to work today, do I??? Someone tell me no - I love a good lie!

Come on Possum - let's teach Mario how to play soccer.

It's YOUR lie Gini, you can tell it anyway you want A little early in the year for good size Chesapeake Bay crabs of any decent size but would anyone like some sauted soft shells? I love them but understand that the idea of eating a whole crab, legs and all, can be a bit disconcerting to those that aren't familiar with it

I'll clean them up in the back. The process of cleaning soft shells is not for the squeemish (heh heh heh). I think they go nicely with some new fresh asperagoose so let's soak some spears. WOW, wanna grill something? This bloody is soooo nice this morning - think I'll have another. STOP KICKING THAT SOCCER BALL AROUND INSIDE THE BAR YOU TWO!!! Thats why we have a playground outside
