I hope you reconsider your Wednesday deadline. While I sympathize with your situation, your old thread gave the impression that you weren't getting rid of them after all, and it may have left others who might have considered taking them with the feeling that it wasn't an urgent situation.

If you take them to a kill shelter during kitten season, they'll be killed. Probably right away. If it were me, I couldn't live with that. I'd definitely build them an outdoor enclosure rather than taking them to the pound.

Tpnya, I am sop sorry to hear this. I know how much it tore you apart the last time. Good luck in rehoming them before they go to a kill shelter

I've been pursuing this for months. The thread just drops off there because I haven't been on PT. I've been catching crap from my son's doctors, my parents, my in-laws, etc... for months about what a cruel parent I am. Trust me, I've been trying.

Really, I don't want to sit here and defend myself. An outside enclosure is out of the question. Keep the cats is out of the question. I am not the only one making this decision.

I didn't make this post asking for any solution other then finding a new home for my beloved cats.

    Thank you Wolfie!

Well, three days seems an unrealistic deadline for accomplishing that. I hope somebody can step in and save them.

If I wasn't willing to try all options, the cats would have been gone a long time ago. Believe me, with as judgemental as *some* at PT are, posting here was my last resort. Just because I've announced a 3 day deadline on PT doesn't mean I haven't been working on this for 6 months.

    Thank you Wolfie!

I'm not being judgmental--I'm asking you to be realistic if you expect anyone here to help you. Many people on this board have assisted others in rehoming cats, but it usually takes more than three days to make that happen.

I wish you the best in rehoming them. I'm nowhere nearby and I'm several cats over the legal limit, but if I did live close I'd take them on a foster basis, just to keep them out of a kill shelter.

I would love to help but I am nowhere near you...

You are only giving them until Wednesday? I am confused I just wish you best of luck rehoming them. I don't think anyone is judging you we are just looking out for the best interest of the cats

IS THERE ANYONE who can help get the cats to Texas??????????

I will foster the cats and find them a home together here. I can talk to people at the shelter and at the vet clinic where I work and keep them until an indoor-only, loving, forever home is found. I have tears in my eyes over this because I do not want them to die If anyone can offer any suggestions or help to get them here, that would be great.

I'm not on the route, but I'll send someone gas money to get the cats to Aly. I'd chip in on airfare, but I doubt there's enough time to arrange that.

What city are you in, Aly? I'll look up the distance in mapblast. I have alot of doctor's appointments going on with Jaden right now, but I could probably fit in a two-three day drive.

P.S. Money isn't an issue. If someone cannot help because of money, I'll give them gas money, care money, etc...

    Thank you Wolfie!
