We slaughter cows, and other animals, so I don't understand why people are so upset but boiling lobsters?

What she was thinking to BAKE a lobster alive I do not know. She's a wee bit flakey. But it ended up saving his life. She couldn't cook and eat anything that was trying to communicate to her that he needed assistance out of a bad situation.

So I personally think they do feel pain.

That made my day! We need a laughing smiley. That is hilarious! No wonder we've never heard of baked lobster. I don't like getting the whole lobster. I just do the tails.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I couldn't slaughter any animal..not a pig, goat, cow, squirrel, rabbit...and I come from the country where hunting is a way of life...my son, dad, ex, all big hunters...deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel..my dad raises cows and butchers them...he raises hogs and butchers them..but I don't hang around to watch. I never have..and never will. But yes, I will eat the meat..when we go to Arkansas he loads us up on meat if he just butchered one.

I think the difference (to me) is the fact that it is done in your home, in your kitchen..just sickens me to think about..but that is just me...
