No pics of my babies sleeping yet, but yes, both of them will sometimes sleep on their backs. I think it's the cutest thing! It's so tempting to give them kisses on those fuzzy bellies! I can do that with Danny, but with Elvis, belly-touching is a no-no!

Many thanks to Kay for the fabulous sig!

AWWWWWWWWW...so cute so cute!!! I love all the pics of everyone's babies on their backs! Too precious My mom and dad's cat Socks sleeps on his back all the time and it looks just like Casper's picture! It's so cute when he does that! I'll have to scan some pics of him and post them. My cat Marius lays on his back, and I caught him doing it once, but the camera woke him up. Needless to say, the pic is still cute!! I just wanna mush my face in that furry belly!!!

Thelma & Weezie both sleep on their backs often, and permit lots of belly rubs.

But if I try a belly kiss ... forget it!

NEVER. he spends 80% of his time sleeping on his side. the rest on his stomach or curled up.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

LOL LOL Yup! He's sporting his 'patriotic' soft paws colors!! I actually chose the colors initially because it would be easy for me to tell when they fell off and it was time to apply new ones! He's pretty good about me handling his paws and applying the caps...but he does fuss occasionally All in all it works out great for all of us!!

    Wolflady,

Marius is TOO CUTE with those patriotic paw covers. Congrats on a gorgeous shot of your precious fur-kid.

I'm still trying for a shot of my fur-kids on their backs. Although they do it fairly often, my coming up on them with a camera encourages Cassy to turn over and go into "ham" routine and Livvy to turn over and try to stroll away ! Have you ever wondered how I got so many back shots of her?
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

Amberlee LOL LOL. Cats are funny that way...they do something cute ON PURPOSE when there's no camera handy...and when you can get the camera...they always manage to move about is a "ha ha ha can't catch me!!!" fashion! Gotta get 'em when they least expect it.... LOL LOL

Well I have been trying to get a picture of Bella asleep on her back but she is a light sleeper and every time I try to tiptoe and get the camera she moves. Yesterday I got her a new toy and I thought I'd post this picture because she also plays on her back!

For now it's a squeaky toy. I'd say it has about a week before it becomes a silent toy! The little pile of orange/purple rags next to her was once a stuffed squeaky toy!

This was taken five minutes after getting the toy. I think the look on her face says it all. "MINE!!!!! Don't even think you are taking it back!"

Oh Bella, you're such a beauty! And good job taking care of the toy ARF!

  14. Here's Brianna -- Edwina's cousin. Brianna belongs to my 8 year old niece and went along to a family reunion in Pennsylvania this summer. She was like a slinky and would sleep/play with anyone!
