    Too cute!

I am not multilingual, I speak only English and Spanish. I work with a dictionary for Romanian, it is very Spanish-like.Tagalog, the Filipino language, has a lot of Spanish in it as well. I think this translator is very good for Filipino, from what I can see.

Oh I see! What a great job you have. I'm also into different dialects and languages. I know 8 Filipino dialects, English (obviously), a little Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia and Filipino.

    Thanks Rose for the link!

    More about Kate:

Kate loves sleeping on people's laps. She does this weird thing with her paws before she lies down (drumming on your knee). Like most cats, she loves belly, chin and neck rubs (as do I). She has a mouse friend that comes out at night and plays with her. I'll try to capture it on cam if I can. That's it for now! I'll post more pics later.

p.s. Is it ok to be totally obsessed with your cat? I think I am.

    Eight dialects is very impressive.
    Do you know Basayan dialect?

    Your English is flawless.

I worked on cruise ships of years and met a lot of wonderful people, and as some of you may not know, a majority of the ships are manned by hard working, family loving, patriotic Filipinos.
It was a joy to know them.

    On to the cat topic.
Kate's drumming we call: kneading or 'makin' biscuits' or 'makin' bread'
It is not all that unusual, unless it's the first cat you've had that does it.

I have two biscuit makers and two non-biscuit makers.

Tell us, does Kate use her voice much?

And, is that mouse you are referring to a real LIVE mouse?

Thanks Rose. Yup. I know how to speak Bisaya (Cebuano and Illongo). We Filipinos are very proud of our home country and are also fascinated by other cultures. That's why there are so many Filipino workers abroad.

    On Kate:

She's my first breadmaker cat. Whenever she does that, you can see from her face that she enjoys it and her purr gets louder.

Kate is quite noisy. She loves the attention. When you say meow, she replies.

Yes! It's a real live mouse. We thought that she was playing with a dead mouse when we saw it. We were in shock when we saw the mouse ran in circles around Kate and seemed very comfortable with her. The mouse (we now call him Bob), even lies down with Kate. Serious! I'll try to take a pic next time he shows up.

Welcome to Pet Talk. Kate is a beautiful girl, and very unusual ... as orange kitties are mostly male! You have gorgeous gardens, I would love to see more pics of them! I love all the greenery and the rocks, etc.!

The relationship that Kate has with this little mouse sounds adorable, I do hope you can get pictures of them together!!

Thank you very much Kim. I never knew that orange females were unusual.

As per your request. Some pics of Kate's favorite garden.

My Mom loves gardening and the whole family including Kate enjoy it so much.

Hello!! I am Debbie and so glad to meet you I cannot help but notice your beautiful lawn and gardens. Is anything reallt that green and lush?? We are at the end of a Ohio summer - so things are just peeking out of the ground.

Kate is a beautiful girl - I have a huge weakness for orangies! Your Kate reminds me of a kitty here - Scout. She belonmgs to Jazzcat and you will see her. Kate has longer fur - but the facial expressions are very similar!

Obsessed by kitties?? Us?? hehehehe - YES you are the right place!!

Hi Debbie! Nice to meet you too. I live in a tropical country so it's easier to maintain the plants.

Thanks for the welcome and your wonderful comments! People have been really nice and warm here at PT. I'll look for scout.

    Thanks Barbara!

I set up a camera where Bob comes out at night to record it. I hope I get the shots I need before Kate decides on taking Bob out for dinner (if you know what I mean ).
