Sue, visiting wolves is great! A place closer to you than Ely, MN would be where I did volunteer work in IN while I was in college! Oh, it was the best. I learned so much about one of my favorite animals. Check out Wolf Park in Battleground, IN. The website address is: http://www.wolfpark.org!

There are a lot of neat things to see and do there. I would like to visit the International Wolf Center as well though. A friend of mine that volunteered at Wolf Park with me had also sponsored one of the wolves of the Ely, MN pack. She was telling me about how she was going to fly out there just to visit her sponsored wolf! How neat!:-)

Wolf Park sounds like fun!! It sure is a lot closer than Ely! I'm going to check into it. We actually have wolves in my neighborhood! A man named John Basile owns Big Run Wolf Ranch in Lockport, IL. He has a British Columbian and he had some Ellsemere arctics . He has a government license, of course. The sad thing is that his area is getting developed and more and more houses are being built around him.
