Depends on where in CA you are. In the San Francisco Bay Area it's usually just plain nice, except for all the rain we've been having this past winter. Last week we had three days of warm, followed by our natural air conditioning (fog). Today it's BEAUTIFUL spring-like sunshine and warm-ish.

I do not live in Minnesota, but I have friends there. It gets pretty hot and humid in the normal summer months. They have the extremes on both ends - HOT and MUGGY in the summer, and BELOW FREEZING in the winter. I'd love to live there.. and just visit Canada for the summer.

In Kentucky, I don't know. It varies from year to year. We have winter about a thousand times due to the weather change, always followed up by a pothole season.
