    BAD, BAD news

    Oreo is FIV AND FeLV positive......and FERAL!

    I do not know what will happen at this time. But poor Sneakers has been with him and therefore has been exposed.

    We can't win them all....but it sure does hurt.

    Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

    Its a sad situation all around. We want to help him, want to help other cats he might infect And the person who contacted us about the cats will be devastated to hear he's infected with those two diseases. All we want to do is help, and then we face a crisis like this.

    I am so sorry to hear this. I was really hoping Oreo would be negative. I do know a person in Indiana that has had FELK+ cats before. I have heard of a person where I am from in KY that also takes them. I could try and find out a name if you are interested. There are special people that will adopt them, you just have to find those angels.
