In Remembrance... Anne Downs - December 19, 1990

Just tonight, a friend over at another site, posted that the mother of one of her son's friends was murdered by her husband in front of the daughter today. I will never, ever understand what brings people to this point.

The one thing that had me so upset was in my friends case, he loved his mother so much that he never married because he couldn't find a woman like his mother and he said he would never marry until he found one like her. He loved his Mama so much that he would rather hang out with her and her friends than people his own age..... My question that I kept asking "What was so BROKEN that he saw that as the only way to fix it?" I don't think we ever got the whole story on what really happened and now we will never know. I miss not being able to pick up the phone and call either one of them..

I'm crying so hard. My heart goes out to that family. I just don't know what to say. I hope that evil man never gets parole

I witnessed a similar situation that happened with the family that lived across the street from me for years. I was in the hospital with them when both boys were born and I babysat them every single day for many, many years. The parents got a divorce and the mother's boyfriend ended up killing her ex-husband in front of the boys when they were just 7 and 11.

I'll never know what comes over people. My heart is just hurting so bad for all of the innocent victims that have ever been affected by such hatred and evilness

That is so terrible. I couldn't even imagine what those children were feeling. It makes it even worse that Anne thought she had a wonderful husband.
