I didn't think this would ever happen, Tonya, so maybe there is hope for your kids too. Samantha grew up with my parent's cat, Sherman, but he was (is) old and crotchety and he taught her to RESPECT THE KITTY!! So while she likes cats and isn't afraid of them, she's always a little skittish around them. She's really done well with Sushi and Kirin... especially if Kirin felt comfortable enough to do this!!!

You should've seen her face when he first snuggled up to her. She kept cutting her eyes at me and then down at Kirin and then back up to me like, 'Mom? Is this okay?' TOO CUTE.

Just had to run over to a co-worker because I had to show here the pics. She has a dog and 3 cats and said you can see that this dog is used to cats. I said, no she's fairly new with the kitties. And now I read that Samantha already had known a cat! That seems to make a difference!

Yup, Samantha grew up from puppyhood (6 weeks old in August 2002) to teenagerhood (June 2004) living with Sherman. They usually didn't have too much interaction but when there was, Sherman made sure that she learned that he was the boss really quick. Now when Samantha goes back to visit my parents, she and Sherman will touch noses before he bolts out of there! So yeah, she's used to cats... kittens though, were new to her.

Glad everyone likes them!! I can't wait to go home and snuggle all my babies again!
