I don't have anything against Wal-Mart. I go there all the time The one I go to is pretty clean and it's a very friendly environment usually, except around the holiday season!

There aren't any small businesses that sell any of the stuff that Wal-Mart sells around here. I doubt that I would shop at any though if there were because they are generally more expensive and I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I try to spend my money wisely. I personally like Wal-Mart, but the one here is way too small. Its not a Super Wal-Mart, and when its busy you better know what you are getting. Where i used to live in MN there was a Super Wal-Mart and I LOVED it!! I really like the super Wal-Mart. I don't know how the Wal-mart here treats its workers, but they are friendly and helpful.

Yeah, just about every Wal-Mart sells firearms. Target used to sell firearms too, but they stoped in the middle 90's. It is not like anyone who wants a gun can buy them from Wal-Mart though.

Not up here they don't. I've been into many Wal-Marts and have never seen them sold.
I do shop there only because of price, in fact, I was there this morning for some Christmas shopping. I have nothing against Mom & Pop stores...they work hard to earn a decent living but for me it's a case of economics.

    Slick...

Really!? I am used to all the Wal-Marts around here, they sell firearms- so I thought just about all of them did. But I suppose there are some store locations that don't need to due to a low hunting population.

Our Wal-Mart sells guns as I live in a extreme hunting town, and where I used to live the Wal-Mart sold guns there too. Nothing new to me.

Firearms sales in Canada are very tighly regulated. i've never seen a Canadian Wal-Mart that sells firearms. I live in an area where many people still hunt out of necessity--there are some isolated communties here where meat is hard to get unless you get it yourself. The only Wal-mart in the Yukon does not sell guns. I think the Canadian Tire store carries some hunting rifles, but most rifles are sold from speciality shops. You can't buy a handgun in Canada legally without great difficulty and mountains of paperwork.
