This doesn't really have anything to do with ear infections, but it does have something to do with ear cleaning. When we first got Heidi's ear cleaner when she was a pup she HATED it with a passion. We switched vets (I seriously did NOT like that guy....if he was working with you, and the phone would ring he would be like "d*mn phone!, and then one time he said something mean about Heidi because a shot irritated her), my new vet (who I really like, shes really sweet and very kind to Heidi, and the receptionist has a Golden named Miranda ) told me that there is this one ingredient that burns/stings when you put it in, and my other ear cleaner had that. So I got an ear cleaner without that ingredient, and she doesn't mind getting her ears cleaned as bad. But I can't remember that ingredient. My brain is totally dead. Ok, sorry about going off topic. I just thought of that.

I took Bailey into the vet today with her ears she was scratching them so much. She has a yeast infection. So she got meds and some drying ear wash. I also had her eye checked, ever since last August when she got very sick and dehyrated, I almost lost her because my old vet did not give her an IV. She now goes to a new vet after I did a lot of vet shopping. Anyway her left eye was having some clear mucuse SPL? and she has a slight eye infection, can happen after severe dehydration I guess. I have to wash her ears once a day and medicate for 2 weeks and eye drops 4x a day for 2 weeks. She is going to run from me whenever I come near her but It's got to be done I'll have to give her some extra treats and walks to get back on her good side. As you can see from the pic she has some big ears so they tend to hold moisture. I'll have to flop them around to dry them. lol

    Bailey

    Bailey is just so sweet.
I hope she gets rid of the infection and doesn't get too upset with her Mommy for doing what has to be done. Kiki runs from me as soon as she sees me with cotton balls or gauze. It takes my hubby and I to do her ear because she is a great escape artist.

Good luck Bailey and be good for your Mommy.
