WOW!! My strangest pets were probably my goldfish I got when I was really young...and they only lasted a week! You can tell we knew nothing about fish!! Every time someone tells me they've had a goldfish for more than a year, I'm amazed! I do know someone who has a 7 or 8-year-old goldfish too!! Now that's OLD!!!

    Thanks Kay!!

    Acctually,

We used to have a squirlle (SP) named Robbie. We found him on our front proch, he was sooo tiny. I forget what we fed him. He used to ride on my back and sit on my shoulder and jump from me onto the couch and stuff. He got really sick though cause squirlles are diabetic and we didn't know that. We jsut needed to add gatoraid into his food and he would have been fine.

Also, we looked franticly for somewhere to take him. We found one palce but it was a 2 hour drive so we had to wait till the weekend to take him there. The person never told us what to feed him.

Probably the australian prickly stick insects.

Just so you know... goldfish can live into their 20s or longer.

It's probably not weird but when I was a kid I dug up this worm and wanted to keep it. It had a name but I can't remember. All I know is that I kept it in a bowl of dirt on my dresser for months. I think finally Dad put it back in the garden. I used to talk to it everyday.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

LOL! My friend and I used to catch salamanders and tried to make them a little habitat thing.

    I had a mudpuppy once.
    They look like this:

    I had anole lizards too.

I live in the city and I have a rooster and a chicken, and used to have ducks. Most people in cities don't have those kinds of birds! So I guess that makes it strange.

Hmm... can't think of anything else at the moment.

When I was little, the cat brought in a baby chipmunk. She didn't have her eyes open and she hardly had fur. Mom fed her with an eye dropper. We ended up naming her Chesnut She was with us for about four years. She liked getting head scrtiches and liked being held. She was soooo soft! She hibernated every winter too, so for a couple months out of the year we wouldn't see her! (she had a little hamster nest thingy in her cage)

I also kept a grasshopper for a pet. Big guy too, I had him in a little cage and everything. He lived about a year or so.

I also had a chameleon! They are totally amazing to watch you can see Rex in my sig. A while ago, he turned out to be a she and she was egg bound and well, she dident pull threw, whats even worse is Peaches (Rex's chameleon buddylol) Passed away shortly after Rex , I think its cause they felt the needto be together lol. I miss them both, but one thing is for sure I will definitly have another reptile sometime in my life
