she's really cute! you know what is really funny.....Alexia is MY real name!

everybody calls me lexie though. i've never seen a dog with my REAL name before!

i hope she finds a great home soon!

She actually is a basenji mix

I can't say enough good things about this dog. Before our shelter, she was in the kill shelter for awhile and I expected her to at least have some potty training issues. But she hasn't had any accidents yet, she's wonderful in the crate, very respectful of Lolly (who doesn't wanna play with her), wonderful with the cats .. I could go on and on!

I gave her breakfast earlier and she sniffed it but wouldn't eat. Then Lolly started eating and she went and stared at Lolly and decided it was then okay for her to eat too!

She's very smart, almost too smart. She LOVES peanut butter, but figured out that when I give her a glob of it, there is a pill in the middle. So she'll eat the peanut butter and spit the pill out. I tried tricking her several times but nothing worked

Even when I try to pill her, she somehow still gets it out of her throat and spits it out. I might have to catch her offguard.

I taught her to sit, down, and shake already.

What a cutie!!!!
She sounds like an amazing dog--how lucky you are to get to live with her for a while--she's lucky too!!!!

I'm sure you don't need the advice, but I'll throw this in anyway: when we first got Jada from the SPCA, she was in heat as well. I bought her a little doggie diaper, and she could have cared less

Wow what a doll!! She does remind me a bit of Cami too, with her shape and expression. She's just adorable!
