Just got back from the vet...

Poor Ili has an abcess. He also had a fever - his temp was 105. They're going to drain it and clean it tomorrow morning, so I left him there over night (I have to leave early tomorrow morning for school and won't have time to take him in). The whole thing (anesthesia, getting it cleaned, etc) is going to be $441. :\ But it's definitely worth it to make Ilio get better!

I’ll bet he is going to feel much better once the abscess is drained.
Most likely you are going to have to give him antibiotic for a while.
Did he get into a fight with another cat?

I'm not sure what caused it... He sometimes picks on his sister, Lali, but they've never gotten serious about it, just mostly fooling around and teasing her... like most siblings So I really don't know what caused it... Well, however he got it, I hope it doesn't happen again!

He has his surgery tomorrow morning, and I will be picking him up in the afternoon. I get home from school by 4, so I'll pick him up then. I really hope his surgery goes well! He was so well-behaved when the vet took a look at him and took his temp and stuff. He's such a good kittie.

I know how worried you must be Diana - but he'll be fine. Keeping fingers crossed for poor Ilio - he'll feel so much better when it's been cleaned out.

Dan has had regular (well about 5) abscesses! He's always very poorly and with the last one it was touch and go if he was going to lose his ear - he didn't! Trouble is - he's a fighter. Always getting into scraps and we're almost sure the last one was caused by Bagel biting his ear - he never knows when to call it a day!
