I think the "Uncle" Trevor is so funny, because I had an old fat cat named Zebo (he was my first cat after leaving home). After he was already up in years I started fostering cats. Alot of the fosters really adored Zebo, but he only tolerated them. I started calling him "Uncle" Zebo because he was just like the old uncle who only tolerated the pesty little nieces and nephews because he knew he had to!

I have two cats. Simon, the Siamese, which I sometimes call 'Moan-a-lisa' (I guess most of you know how Siamese cats can moan!) and Kelly (she is white with tiger spots) I call 'hey, beautiful' because she has such a lovely expression. They have some other names like for Simon: Thai-boy, baby-boy, angel and for Kelly: baby-girl, KK1 (I forgot where I got the one from) and if I talk to both I just simply say 'babes', 'darlings' or 'schatzis. I am so glad I am not the only one calling the cats with silly names!

My lovable Persian-mix "Puff" is also:
    Puff Puff
    Puff-a-lump
    Puff-a-luffagus
Puffa Roach (from the band Papa Roach)
Puff the Luff Luff (no idea how that started)
    Puff the Magic Kitty
    Pufferino
    La Puffiere

I sing to her too, but not real songs. Somehow I made up this song "You're the puffiest fluffiest puff of all the puffs in all the world" and I seem to be the only one who can sing it right. She comes running! Another popular phrase is "Are there any Puff-puffs home?" to which she'll meow from the other room. This forum is hilarious, and I'm so glad I got to share!

I know I will be embarrassed after I post but I'll tell you some of my moms cats names:

The female cat, for some reason, is pretty much only called Mia which is her name, we call her Mia and Oh Mia.

Mewton is her male tabby's name (he's quite overweight which is where some of the names have come from)......here we go:

    Mutt
    Mutty
    Muttant
    Moot
    Mootie
    Tubby
    Eat
    Tub
    Tub-o-lina
    Tub of fattiness
    Eat things
    Moo tark
    Moot-a-loop
    Moot-scronius
    Pretty
    Oh so
HandsomB (the B at the end is not a mistake)
    Kitten of my dreams
    Girth
    Tubby Tubmarene (tubby's submarine)

I am sure there are more but can't think of them. He also has songs, just like Puff's person has He has 2 songs. We do the cat whistle and that's considered one of his names, because we do it alot and he knows it's him we're whisteling at. I am too embarressed to tell you about the songs

    Great question!

Well, often I call my Luna 'Lula', while my American friends sometimes call her 'Luna-Tuna'! LOL

My kitty's name is Saima, but I also call her: Saima Sue, Mooshoo, Meeshoo, Booboo, Kitty Bumptious, Little One, Bugaboo, Little Girl, Snookums, Babycakes, etc. I think if anyone ever heard me talking to my cat in the way that I do, they'd think I was off my rocker!
Yep ...we love the nick names....I use
    'boo boo' & 'so bad'...charlie

Most of my cats through the years have managed to keep their given names. Some....have not. The first one I don't even recall her given name. She was always into everything from day one. She went far beyond plain ol' curiousity. Quickly, she acquired the name PITA for Pain In The A--. Both cats I have now have also acquired new names. Missy is almost 9 and has queenliness down to a fine art, thus Miss Priss. Sam is my 2.5 year old "tom" who after a particularily nasty show of attitude at the vet became Samual J. Cat. Though he still doesn't act too proper.

Wow, what a list! I hope it isn't too late to add to this: Our female cat was called Trey by our daugher, but her nickname is Treybabe(yes it is my user name on this site) and our male cat is Billy Bob but I call him Bees or Beebop and sometimes Bittles. Can't say why. For a while our two year old grandchild called him Beely the Bope, so we called him that too. Fun!

My baby Tebaldi has other pet names too. I mostly call her "Sweetie Pie", "Gorgeous" and "Sexy Girl" when I'm speaking to her. She is very aware that I am paying her a compliment and will show off & display her beauty by rolling on her back & meowing in response.

When e-mailing friends about Tebaldi we use the code "GWF" which stands for "Great White Fur" (Tebaldi is a large, pure white beauty - see Cat of the Day Nov 8, 2000) but this nickname is only used in e-mails.

It's good to know that lots of other cat owners are just as silly as I am. My cats are Cynthia Louise (6) and Sibyl Storm (3).
Cynthia is really known as Cindy, but we also call her: Cindy-windy, Cindy Loo, Cutesie-buns, poopsie-oopsie, and schweetie.
We sometimes call Sibyl: Sibs, Sibsie-wibsie, Sibylinda, Sibyl-bibble, Bibble (especially when she's being bad, "Bad Bibble!!!), Grey-thing (this is what we think Cindy probably refers to her as) Stinky, and Bitchie-poo-head.
    Ridiculous!

    Well, here goes:

My current male cat was adopted and had the (God, help me, AWFUL) name of "Bobo" when I got him. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just couldn't keep that name. His is now officially -- D'Artagnon! However, since the latest "Star Wars" episode, he is also, D'Ar D'Ar Binks. Then, he's been called "Chunk o' Cheese" (he's a bit of a porker) and "Fat Boy". Actually, he's quite muscular now but will always be a big boy.

My calico is named Monocle because she has a gray spot around her right eye. Of, course, that evolved to "Mono", which then evolved to "Monkey" (Mono is Spanish for monkey) and "Monkey-bug".

We used to have a cat (f) that earned her name of "Miss Hissy Fit" and was generally called "Hiss".

Of course, all have received the occasional appelation of "S***head" when appropriate.

I don't sing specific songs to them, those are generally reserved for the dogs, but I do do the baby talk thing -- alas and alack -- I'm a normal (pet lovin') human!!

My Thelma is also known as:
Tell-Ma - always spoken in baby voice, originated when she "ratted on" her older sister's naughty behavior
    Thelma-girl
    Sweet Potato
    Pookie
Spooky Pook - a derivative of Pookie

My Weezie's real name is Louise. She is also known as:
    Weeze
    The Weezer
    Weezie-girl

Not very creative, I know ...

I try to make up for it by making up new lyrics for showtunes, as in

    Hello Thelma, well, hello Thelma!
You're sweet, you're so petite, you're Thelma-girl. (sung to the tune of Hello Dolly!)
