Thread: Getting Eccentric?

THANK YOU PT for introducing me other "crazy people" like me! I thought I was the only one who hated to be separated from the cats for longer than, like, an hour. My two best friends that live out-of-town are both owners of dogs (one has 2 labs and one has 2 boxers) and I'm always upset when I go to see them because I can't bring Tito and Sophie - those dogs would eat them alive!!

I guess I'm lucky, because both mine are at their cute older kitten stage still - so I'm forever pointing out the cute things they do to my boyfriend. I'm always going, "LOOK, honey, how Sophie's hanging her legs off the table!!" or "LOOK, how cute, they're licking each other!" or whatever. He's extremely tolerant, thank goodness!! That's because he loves them too - especially Sophie - that's his little baby!!

I'm a bit like this as well. I don't worry too much if I am just late home, but more and more I find myself not wanting to be away for two weeks holiday. We always have someone come in and feed the girls when we are away, so I know that they are in their usual surroundings and they all have each other's company, so that aspect is OK. But I just miss them SO MUCH, and it gets worse the longer the holiday goes on. I now think that a week's holiday is enough; soon it will be a long weekend; I could end up a hermit yet!

Amen to that! A couple of weeks ago I was about a half hour late arriving home from work. Now keep in mind John is there, his brother is there and our other roomate. Can Remus be happy? Nooooo. He met me at the door with this scowl that could almost turn a hooman into stone!

He chilled out once I explained to him that I was very concerned and had I been later, I would have phoned the house and checked in on him

John keeps telling me that the cat can survive an 8 hour work day without me having to call home 3 or 4 times lol.

As far as going out? Pfft, who needs "out" when you've got a computer and a kitty to play with
