Kim, Debbie and anyone else....Since I've met Barbara, I've learned the correct pronunciation of Tigris. We Americans automatically say it like Tigress, like Debbie mentioned, but the Tig part is pronounced like Tigger in Winnie the Pooh. Tig-ris, not Tigress....if you know what I mean. That might help with the gender thing. But to me, Tigris is one of the most manly cats we have here on PT. What a hunk! (oops, except for Tubby of course, and Eddie, and Fister, and, and...well, you get the idea)
