Just curious Corinna - but what sort of things would you knit from cat hair - do you soin it into a regular yarn and then just knit like with any other yarn? cool! (I am totally craft challenged)

BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!! Princess has eaten on her own!! Her bowl was finall empty this morning!! PHEW! What a relief! She ate the Science diet dry over the can food, now I got can food to do something with..

Corinna, are you serious? I think it would be so cool to have something made of her fur, just as a keepsake as my very first foster, even the smallest thing. I may just send it to you if you are serious!! Do you knit too? I do not, never could get the hang of it.. I do a lot of things that will "get by" but do nothing really well except cook! Never could get the hang of knitting for some reason...

How does that tool work? I've never seen something like that!

Princess is such a beautiful girl!!! Great markings! Good that she was eating today! How long is she with you now?

You use it like a comb with the circle part being the comb.. I guess the best way to describe it is that it works like a rake and I tell you, even using it on a kitty that don't appear to be shedding with surprise the dickens out of you. I got it to use on Chester, my big short haired tabby because my daughter complaines about how bad he sheds at her house but decided to see how it worked on long haired cats.. It blew my mind!!!

I don't know how long she is with me. I am hoping that when we open Tuesday, her owner will be there looking for her but if not, I want to see if they can find a permant foster home for her since I have to go back to work on the 21st and I don't want her getting to attached to me, then me have to take her back to the shelter and plop her in another cage. She has been tramatized enough. I brought her home Friday "for the week end" but I do not want her back in that shelter after seeing her in a "home enviroment" and how she bloomed here.... and eating again.

Poor baby!! Hopefully her owner is looking for her at the shelter!! And if not, I hope this precious girl will find a good permanent home very soon!

That sounds like an interesting tool indeed! Luna is shedding a lot and so far, I used a baby brush which worked very well. But it seems as if there's always lose fur remaining in her coat! She enjoys being brushed very well btw!

I'm so glad she started eating again. Sometimes baby food works - the beef, chicken, veal or lamb kind or something extra stinky like tuna or sardines. I gave Mishi some "treats" this morning (actually Royal Canin Maine Coon - it has HUGE chunks) and he ate it. I think he's slowly getting better (fingers/paws crossed).
