Willie, thanks! That color is called Homestead Resort Pale Olive and I got the color sample at Lowes. I love it too but my husband isn't sold. He has an aversion to green because his mother went green crazy in the 70s. Everytime he walks in the entryway he starts singing the theme song to the Brady Bunch.

I just painted the hallway a color called Toasted Tan but it has a peachy look too it. Actually it is the third color I've painted it since last Thursday. I don't think the walls can take any more paint so Toasted Tan it is!

WOW! What a beautiful home, yard, pool, everything! I love your color schemes! What a clever man your dad is!! I know those hand-made things mean the world to you and he did a lovely job! The curio is just awesome. I wish we could see some of the pretty things inside. I am sure there are lots of kitty things in there.

It was nice having a glimpse of Disney. I don't think I saw any other furries. I will have to go back and re-look! Oh and count me in as someone who would love to visit Dollywood so put the kettle on!

Your house is beautiful! I so wish I had a place like that. Hopefully by the end of next year, because house shopping here is hard and I am very picky about buying my first house. I looked and looked but so far nothing seems to suit my taste, so I figure we'll rent a few more months and save some more money and then perhaps just build something of our own. That way I can have it exactly how I want it.

Great idea for the cat boxes too!!!

You have a very nice home. Your Dad's curio cabinet he made is gorgeous! I would love to have one like that.
I wish I could make a list of all the great pieces of furniture I've seen on these tours and send a truck around the world to pick them all up.

Thanks everybody. I'm actually wanting a new house and I may have to get a bigger one so we can move my Dad in if he needs to come live with us. If that happens I hope to get an acre or two of land so I can have more pets.

Kim - yes we do need to have a PT meeting and I think the mountains in the fall would be great (I wouldn't have to go far either ).

Wow- what a house! Tigris wants to come and share the sunroom with Jazz

Someone should organize a Pet Talk Homeviewing tour so that we can see all these wonderful homes. It would also make a special for one of the fancy house magazines

Your dad must be the most skilled man I've ever seen. That curio cabinet is far beyond ordinary handyness!

    Give him our admiration.

Lori your house is amazing. I can not get over how many things your dad made....he has an amazing talent. I love the colors you have chosen for the different rooms....especially the sun room. Your pool and yard area is beautiful. I wish hubby would let me put a pool in.

Thanks again for sharing you wonderful home with us.

WOW!!! I LOVE your house! It's beautiful. I loved every room and all the colors are gorgeous! How cool that you live so close to the mountains. You are in a beautiful area with a beautiful home.
Your dad is extremely talented. How wonderful to have those great pieces hand made by your father. I'm sure those are very cherished.
I would love to come visit! Wouldn't that be fun! I'm starting to sense a plan coming on! Maybe one day we can all make it come true.
